How does Monkey Knife Fight work?

Types of games available on Monkey Knife Fight
There are three primary game modes on Monkey Knife Fight. Within each game are different tiers that reach up to $250. Prizes go up in correspondence with the required buy-ins, and so do the levels of difficulty.
The game modes are:
Stat shootout
Instead of compiling a roster of real-life athletes and watching as they accumulate stats, this game mode focuses on only one statistical category.
After a player chooses the athletes he or she desires, the next steps are to select a statistic and then set a target for the roster to collectively reach.
If that threshold is met, the player wins the play. For example, a player could select a number of MLB pitchers, choose strikeouts as the stat and set 30 strikeouts for the entire roster as the threshold.
Rapid Fire
This game mode puts a new spin on the head-to-head style of play. Instead of stacking up two or more players’ rosters against each other, players will predict which of two athletes facing each other in actual games will outperform the other. To determine which player wins his head-to-head matchup, Monkey Knife Fight uses a point system combining relevant statistics similar to DFS.
If a player correctly predicts a set number of matchups correctly, he or she wins.
An example would be in a game between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers. A bettor will predict whether James Harden or LeBron James will accumulate more points in a system that assigns a specific value to assists, blocks, made shot attempts, missed shot attempts, points scored, rebounds, steals and turnovers.
Over/Under
In this mode, users will be presented with athletes who are slated to be in action that day and get a statistical prediction for their real-life performances in those games. The user has to predict whether the athletes will fall short of or surpass those marks. More correct predictions will lead to bigger payouts.
For example, the user could be in charge of deciding whether several NHL forwards will score a certain number of points in the day’s games.
Entries in all three game modes are considered final upon submission and cannot be altered. However, entries can be canceled up to 30 minutes before the commencement of the earliest relevant real-life games.
If players who are slated to appear in games do not play, Monkey Knife Fight’s software will cancel the relevant games and refund the entry fees, according to its policy.

Monkey Knife Fight does offer “free-roll” games, which do not require a buy-in. Free-roll games do not result in the award of cash, but rather promotional funds that can only be used in lieu of cash on Monkey Knife Fight games. It cannot be withdrawn as cash.
