DFS NBA Lineups for February 16, 2017 at Draftkings.com & Fanduel.com

We have just two games in DFS NBA on 2/16/17 before we take off for the All Star break, so we’ll take a different approach for this article and just preview the two games in more of a primer format. Look, on a two-game slate, nearly every player is ‘in play’ for tournaments. You’ll have to differentiate yourself somewhere if you want to take down a GPP. As for cash games, don’t get cute. Play the high scoring chalk. Play the best plays. You’ll regret it if you don’t. We won’t have another full DFS slate at DraftKings and FanDuel until February 23! All said, we still have some huge GPPs despite the tiny slate.

As always, be sure and monitor any of the injury news that breaks throughout the day, as value plays and player upgrades can arise in a moments notice and anyone with even the slightest injury might sit to get the extra rest.

DraftKings DFS NBA GPP Tournaments

Four Point Play: $4 buy-in, $500k Guaranteed
Crossover: $27 buy-in, $160k Guaranteed
Buzzer Beater 3-Max: $20 buy-in, $30k Guaranteed

FanDuel DFS NBA GPP Tournaments

Clutch Shot: $4 buy-in, $500k Guaranteed
Slam: $25 buy-in, $100k Guaranteed

Wizards @ Pacers

Spread: Wizards -2
Total: 217
7pm EST

Wizards:

PG: John Wall ($10.7k DK, $10.4k FD)
SG: Bradley Beal ($7.1k DK, $7.6 FD)
SF: Otto Porter (6.2k DK, $6.6k FD)
PF: Markieff Morris ($6.9k DK, $7.4k FD)
C: Marcin Gortat ($6k DK, $7.3k FD)

Notes: The Wizards have the highest implied total on the night and John Wall is the best overall play on the entire slate. He’s got the highest projected floor as well as the highest potential ceiling. And as you would expect, he’ll also come with the highest ownership percentage. At the Center position, Marcin Gortat has met or topped 6x salary in eight of his last nine games.

Pacers:

PG: Jeff Teague ($7.4k DK, $7.2k FD)
SG: Monta Ellis ($3.7k DK, $4.2k FD)
SF: Paul George ($8.2k DK, $8.6k FD)
PF: Kevin Seraphin ($3.5k DK, $4.3k FD)
C: Myles Turner ($5.5k DK, $6.5k FD)

Notes: After a very strong run, Paul George has failed to meet 3.5x in two of his last four games. Jeff Teague will see his usual 30+ minutes, but his upside is limited and it will be hard to land on him with Wall and Thomas as options tonight. Miles Turner will probably see the least ownership of the Centers tonight, so if you’re looking to zig where other zag, you can use Turner.

Celtics @ Bulls

Spread: Bulls -1
Total: 212
8pm EST

Celtics:

PG: Isaiah Thomas ($9.3k DK, $10k FD)
SG: Marcus Smart ($5.7k DK, $5.8k FD)
SF: Jae Crowder ($5.6k DK, $6.1k FD)
PF: Kelly Olynyk ($4.5k DK, $4.6k FD)
C: Al Horford ($6.8k DK, $7k FD)

Notes: What more can we say about Isaiah Thomas at this point? With his recent production (he’s failed to reach at least 40 DK points once in last 15 games), you could argue that he’s underpriced on DraftKings. Kelly Olynyk has just been crushing value the entire month of February and will be a very popular play after going for 30 DK points last night. Like we’ve already said, everyone on a four-game slate is ‘in play’ tonight. But if you’re looking for a fade, Marcus Smart’s ownership is going to be much higher than it normally would be after he went for 51 DK points last night.

Bulls:

PG: Rajon Rondo ($4.2k DK, $4.7k FD)
SG: Dwyane Wade ($6.7k DK, $7.9k FD) – questionable
SF: Jimmy Butler ($9.1k DK, $9.7k FD)
PF: Taj Gibson ($4.7k DK, $4.6k FD)
C: Robin Lopez ($4.4k DK, $4.7k FD)

Notes: Be sure and follow the injury news here as there’s a very good chance Dwyane Wade sits out again to get the full week off during the break. If that’s the case, I’ll likely have 100% exposure to Jimmy Butler. Some people will look to Michael Carter-Williams, but at $5100 he’ll have a tough time getting you what you need to win a GPP.
