DFS NBA Lineups for February 13, 2017 at Draftkings.com & Fanduel.com
On days that there’s a nice slate of DFS NBA games, we’ll give you the game totals, point spreads, and pertinent injury news to follow for NBA daily fantasy, as well as some players that we’re considering for our lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel.
We have a big eleven-game DFS NBA slate for 2/13/17 and the GOAT Russell Westbrook is in action. Russ has gone for 70+ DraftKings points in four of his last five games. Seriously. He’s $1700 more than the next most expensive player, but he’s a legit GPP option every single night in every single matchup. Giannis Antetokounmpo has really taken over since the unfortunate injury to Jabari Parker. The Freak has gone for 68 and 51.5 DK points in his last two and had a 61.5 DK point game just four games ago. He’s dual position eligible on DraftKings and costs $10.1k.
On the tournament trial, DraftKings has their Four Point Play featuring a $4 buy-in and $450,000 guaranteed. They’ve also got a $5 buy-in qualifier for their live final in Miami. Over at FanDuel, they’ve juiced up the Layup tournament, a $7 buy-in with $100,000 guaranteed on Monday. And for the big bankroll players, the $444 Monster is upped to $400,000 guaranteed tonight.
As always, be sure and monitor any of the injury news that breaks throughout the day, as value plays and player upgrades can arise in a moments notice.

Best NBA Picks for February 13, 2017
Anthony Davis ($11k DraftKings, $11.1k FanDuel)
After another solid performance against the Kings last night, Davis can re-enter the circle of trust for some DFSers. He’s averaging 28.8 PPG, 10.8 RPG and 3.4 BPG this month and faces one of the worst defenses in the NBA tonight in Phoenix. The Suns give up the second-most PPG (112.7) and rank 28th in defensive rating this year, while Davis averaged 24.7 PPG and 16 RPG over three meetings with Phoenix last year and is posting similarly dominant numbers over three meetings this year. The Brow doesn’t miss a beat on games with no rest with averages of 28.6 PPG and 10.3 RPG while shooting 51% from the floor this season, so feel free to fire him up on the second half of the Pelicans B2B set.
Blake Griffin ($9k DraftKings, $9.7k FanDuel)
Despite drawing a tough matchup on paper, Blake will be on most of my lineups, even on this full slate, as he’s taken over as the clear-cut leader of the Clippers offense with Chris Paul on the shelf. He’s sporting a 29.7% Usage Rate and averaging 1.38 FPs per minute with CP3 off the floor this season and has been crushing it since returning from injury with averages of 26.8 PPG, 9.3 RPG and 5.8 APG over his last 6 appearances. The Jazz are a tough defensive team, but strongest against the center position and on the wing, while chronically-hobbled PF Derrick Favors and inexperienced backup Trey Lyles represent the weak points in that front. Griffin is almost matchup-proof when he’s playing like this and he’s not exactly pricey on DK as a legitimate triple double threat.
Eric Bledsoe ($7.7k DraftKings, $8.4k FanDuel)
Perhaps taking a game off to rest will help Bledsoe get back to his productive ways in a great matchup tonight. He’s in position to exceed value by a wide margin at some point at this modest price tag on DK and he could carry the Suns at home in a potential shootout with the Pelicans. New Orleans coughs up the ninth-most FPPG (44.68) and PPG (24.23) to opposing PGs over the last month while EB is averaging 21 PPG, 6 RPG and 5.7 APG over three meetings with that poor defensive team. He’ been more consistent at home all season and was on fire with averages of 24.4 PPG and 7.7 APG during January, so give him a chance to snap his brief skid at the start of this month.
Mid Tier DFS NBA Picks
Frank Kaminsky ($5.7k DraftKings, $4.8k FanDuel)
After one quiet game with Cody Zeller back in the lineup, Frank the Tank re-emerged as an excellent mid-tier play with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 45 DK points (43.1 FD points) in a narrow loss to the Clippers on Saturday. Now he’ll face a Sixers team that should be without top defensive center Joel Embiid and backup center Jahlil Okafor, while Kaminsky should log plenty of minutes at the 4 and 5 with Zeller doubtful for tonight’s contest due to his lingering quad injury. Philadelphia coughs up the most FPPG (62.84) and PPG (28.13) to opposing centers over the last month and the 76ers are worth targeting until Embiid is healthy enough to return.
Greg Monroe ($4.9k DraftKings, $5.8k FanDuel)
It’s yet to truly be determined how the Bucks will replace Jabari Parker, and while it appears that Michael Beasley ($4.7k, $4.3k) will be the most direct beneficiary of Parker’s unfortunate season-ending injury, other players will step up from time to time. On Saturday night, Monroe took on a role with much higher usage, as he dropped 17 points, 8 rebounds and 36.6 FD points (38 DK points) over just 26 minutes of run. You can’t trust Bucks HC Jason Kidd to give anyone consistent playing time, but Monroe will likely be tasked with guarding big Andre Drummond and he’s capable of working the Pistons poor defending center over like he used to do in practice before he left Detroit.
Bargain Tier DFS NBA Picks
Portland Blazers
The Blazers traded Mason Plumlee for Jusuf Nurkic on Sunday and neither player is expected to be ready to suit up for their new teams on Monday night. That opens the door for Meyers Leonard ($3k, $3.5k) to log more minutes at center in a tough matchup against Dwight Howard. Noah Vonleh ($3k, $3.5k) is a longshot to take on more of Plumlee’s role as a distributor in the middle of the floor, while Al-Farouq Aminu ($5.5k, $5.5k) and Maurice Harkless ($4.6k, $4.3k) stand to serve as the best cash game plays with Evan Turner out as well.
Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets also remain a great source of value with Danilo Gallinari and Kenneth Faried ruled out in addition to four other key players being listed as questionable. Gary Harris, Emmanuel Mudiay, Darrell Arthur and Wilson Chandler could all miss tonight’s game, potentially leaving Jameer Nelson ($5.4k/$5k) and Will Barton ($6.4k, $5.8k) as the two primary options at guard rotating around Nikola Jokic. Jamal Murray ($3.8k, $3.8k) is worth a look in a potential blowout loss to Golden State, while we could have a rare sighting of Juancho Hernangomez ($3k, $3.5k) if Arthur is out in addition to Faried and Jusuf Nurkic (traded on Sunday).
Kelly Olynyk ($4k DraftKings, $4.5k FanDuel)
We’ll offer at least one specific value play who should also benefit from injuries tonight. The Celtics will be without Avery Bradley once again and could miss both Jae Crowder and Jaylen Brown as well. That would make Marcus Smart ($5.5k, $5.9k) a very solid cash game play and put Terry Rozier ($3k, $3.5k) on the radar as a punt play, but Olynyk seems like he has the best floor-ceiling combo as a value. Even though he doesn’t play on the wing all the time, Kelly-O is soaking up more opportunities with several C’s injured and is averaging 12.2 PPG, 7 RPG and 2 APG after an impressive 40 DK-point performance in Utah on Saturday. Now he’ll face a Mavericks team that ranks dead last in rebounding and he should continue to create matchup problems for that poor defensive team.
If, Then Player
Look for Evan Fournier, Nikola Vucevic and the rest of the Magic to bounce back against the Heat after a poor outing on Saturday, especially if Aaron Gordon (foot) remains out.
If Tyson Chandler (ankle) can’t suit up tonight, Alex Len would emerge as a solid value play.
