DFS NBA Lineups for February 4, 2017 at Draftkings.com & Fanduel.com
Each day that there’s a good slate of DFS NBA games, we’ll give you the game totals, spreads, and pertinent injury news for NBA daily fantasy, as well as some players that we’re considering for our lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel.
We have ten games on the main NBA slate for 2/4/17, but are without the ‘Big 2’ in Russell Westbrook and James Harden. We still have six, five-figure guys on today’s slate in LeBron, Boogie, Giannis, Anthony Davis, John Wall, and Kevin Durant. Throw in Steph Curry, Kawhi Leonard, KAT, and Jokic, and there is no shortage of top end talent for us to choose from this evening. Speaking of Jokic, he’s gone for 55, 64, and 59 in his last three games, but his price went down on dynamic pricing sites. The Spurs aren’t a great matchup by any stretch, but the way Jokic fills up the stat sheet, he’s moving into ‘playable against anyone at any time’ territory. That said, he is coming off an injury, so we may see his minutes monitored tonight on the second half of a back to back.
As always, be sure and monitor any of the injury news that breaks throughout the day, as value plays and player upgrades can arise in a moments notice.

Best NBA Picks for February 4, 2017
Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10.3k DraftKings, $10.5k FanDuel)
Fresh off an excellent outing against the Nuggets porous defense, Giannis should remain in your crosshairs on the second half of a B2B set against another one of the worst defenses in the NBA. Phoenix is ranked 27th in defensive rating while giving up the second-most PPG (112.3) and third-most PPG (24.96) to opposing PGs this season. The Suns are giving up 114.5 PPG over their last 13 contests and struggle to defend athletic guards such as The Greek Freak, who is back to his productive ways and more than capable of exceeding value in this plus matchup.
Stephen Curry ($9.6k DraftKings, $9.7k FanDuel)
The MVP is back to his dominating ways and the rest of the league isn’t ready to try and contend with a locked-in Curry. His price tag is slowly rising, but is clearly nowhere near the levels it was without Kevin Durant in the mix last season. KD is taking something of a backseat to Curry in recent games, as Steph is averaging 32 PPG, 7.8 APG and shooting a scorching 52.5% (32-of-61) from downtown over his last 5 appearances. Tonight he’ll face a Kings team that ranks 26th in opponents 3PT shooting (.374%) and gives up the ninth-most FPPG (44.96) to opposing PGs over the last month. If Sacramento can keep the game close at home, Curry will likely have another huge game.
Jrue Holiday ($7.4k DraftKings, $8k FanDuel)
Holiday seems to be very under priced on DK right now and he’s actually cheaper tonight after dropping a double-double with 47.75 DK points in a 20-point loss on Wednesday. He’s exceeded value in five of his last six appearances with averages of 24.7 PPG and 9 APG during that span, as the Pelicans offense completely revolves around him and Anthony Davis. Holiday is sporting a 38.7% Assist Rate over the last month and will once again be asked to carry New Orleans on the road in a tough matchup against John Wall and the streaking Wizards.
Mid Tier DFS NBA Picks
Ersan Ilyasova ($6.5k DraftKings, $6.1k FanDuel)
The Sixers frontcourt has been decimated by injuries with Joel Embiid (knee) out tonight and Nerlens Noel dealing with a rather serious illness. If both players miss tonight’s contest, along with Robert Covington who is questionable, it would open up more opportunities for Ghostface Ilya after he went for a team-high 25 points and 10 rebounds over 38 minutes at the Spurs on Thursday. Facing San Antonio is pretty much the toughest matchup imaginable, so it’s certainly worth using Ilyasova again when he faces a Miami team that uses several different PFs including a natural SF in James Johnson.
Wilson Chandler ($6.1k DraftKings, $5.4k FanDuel)
The sledding might be a bit tougher for Chandler tonight after he ripped through the Bucks weak defense with an excellent performance last night, but he’s definitely worth a look with Danilo Gallinari inactive. WilChan sports a 27% Usage Rate and averages 1.03 FPs per minute with Gallo off the floor this year and he put up decent numbers with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists over just 24 minutes in a meeting with the Spurs earlier this season. While a matchup against Kawhi Leonard is far from ideal, Chandler is averaging 18.4 points, 8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per 36 minutes this year and he should see a full slate of run this evening.
Bargain Tier DFS NBA Picks
Evan Fournier ($5k DraftKings, $5k FanDuel)
He’s a relative bargain tonight because of his modest price tag, as Fournier finally appeared to overcome his foot injury with a big-time performance last night. He went for 20 points and 10 rebounds to exceed value by a wide margin against the Raptors and now he faces Hawks team that gives up the second-most PPG (24.86) to opposing SGs over the last month. Fournier is averaging 18.5 PPG on 58.6% FG shooting over two meetings with Atlanta so far this season and he should remain the focal point of Orlando’s offense on the road tonight.
Guillermo Hernangomez ($4.5k DraftKings, $5.3k FanDuel)
Whitehead separated himself from an underwhelming timeshare with Spencer Dinwiddie with three consecutive impressive performances last week. Yet he came back to earth with a modest game in a prime matchup against the Knicks, but struggled to find a rhythm due to some foul trouble in that contest and he should remain both cheap and overlooked as a source of salary relief. The fast-paced Nets should be able to put up points against a Pacers team that gives up the ninth-most PPG (106.3) in the NBA this year and Whitehead will get his opportunities to lead Brooklyn’s offense with Jeremy Lin still on the shelf.
Javale McGee ($3.7k DraftKings, $3.7k FanDuel)
He managed to exceed value in his second consecutive appearance despite playing just 17 minutes on Thursday and McGee will likely start once again with Zaza Pachulia doubtful to suit up for the Warriors. He should be needed to play more minutes in an effort to contain DeMarcus Cousins and a matchup against the Kings weak interior defense is certainly ideal. Sacramento is giving up the third-most PPG (25.5) to opposing centers over the last month and McGee is often the beneficiary when defenses over commit on the Warriors Splash Brothers.
If, Then Player
If LaMarcus Aldridge (knee) misses another game, the Spurs frontcourt will once again become a buffet of appealing value options with Dewayne Dedmon and David Bertans serving as punt plays while David Lee serves as an excellent cash game play against the weak Nuggets defense.
If Derrick Rose (ankle) remains out, Brandon Jennings will be an appealing tournament option against the Cavs weak backcourt defense.
