NFL Week 7 DFS Stacking Options

NFL Stacks

I cannot believe we are already at week 6 of the NFL season, feels like just yesterday we were working on preseason lineups and trying to figure out who the values were going to be in week 1!  I am sure most of you know this already, but for those that do not, this article will go over correlated plays that can have a positive effect on your GPP lineups.

QB/WR Stacks

When it comes to the QB-WR stacks in week 7, one combination stands out above all else as Matt Ryan-Julio Jones get to take on a much depleted San Diego secondary while playing at home.  I shouldn’t have to say much as Ryan has arguably been the MVP of the NFL so far and Julio has shown us his ridiculous upside already this season.

Another combo that I think will be somewhat chalky is Andy Dalton-AJ Green as they get to face the Browns at home.  Dalton has been pretty solid this season, however we have not seen any bust out type games and I have a feeling we get one this weekend.

My third duo is Marcus Mariota-Delanie Walker.  Mariota is playing EXTREMELY well and while I think most will be on DeMarco Murray, I think Walker bounces back a bit after letting a TON of people down last weekend.

Another duo that I am waiting on a huge breakout from is Blake Bortles-Allen Robinson.  They get to take on a Raiders defense that has struggled against the pass.  They also have to travel across the country for this match-up.  Those are the main four that I am looking at, however I have a couple that play in the same game that I think could be sneaky for passing production.

I think Colin Kaepernick-Torrey Smith and Jameis Winston-Mike Evans are a couple of combos that could make people happy this weekend.

RB/DEF Stacks

My top combination is one that I brought up last week and it’s from a team that I talked about above in the QB-WR section.  DeMarco Murray-Tennessee are a solid combination as Murray has been a beast this season and while he let people down last week, for the most part, his touches are there and I really like the way the Tennessee defense is playing as they now face a turnover prone Andrew Luck who has basically one weapon in the passing game.

Another duo that was on my list last week was LeSean McCoy-Buffalo and that one worked out pretty well for people as McCoy was a monster and the Bills did enough to not kill us.  Buffalo’s defense has been almost as underrated as Tennessee’s so far this season and while road defenses scare me a bit, I just am not sold on the Dolphins offense that showed up last weekend against the Steelers.  My last combo is one that might not be very popular, however both have been playing extremely well.

I really like the way Christine Michael is running the football and Seattle’s defense has been really good.  I know Seattle travels to Arizona, however Carson Palmer has not looked all that great this season and he has had some injury issues.  I expect this game to be somewhat low scoring and a defensive battle.  Seattle will want to pound the ball to control the clock.

Returner/DEF Stacks

I never thought I would say this, but I think I have a new #1 stack in this category as I just love how active Jamison Crowder has become in the offense.  While the match-up is tough for Washington, I think a defense always gets a boost when they face an offense that becomes very one dimensional.  Crowder leads the NFL in PR yardage (I know we do not get points for the return yardage, but he does have a PR TD) and has 3 TD and 34 targets on offense.

My former #1 is not too far behind yet as Tyler Lockett-Seattle is always a dangerous combination.  I already touched on my like of Seattle, and Lockett is somebody that is always dangerous, but just has not broken out yet.  He sits 6th in PR yards on the season.  The last two that I will mention are ones that have not appeared prior to this week and those are Adam Humphries-Tampa Bay and Jalen Richard-Oakland.  Humphries gets a bump up thanks to TB putting Vincent Jackson on IR and while I said I like Kaepernick earlier, he certainly looked rusty last week and the TB Defense is rested coming off of their bye week.  A great stat to look at is the fact that SF has given up the 4th most PR yards on the season.  Richard depends on if Latavius Murray misses again this week as Richard is a dangerous playmaker out of the backfield while also having returned 16 kicks/punts for a total of 314 yards.

There you have it for Week 7, a list of my favorite stacking options.  Make sure you let me know how you feel about my article in the comments below or on Twitter.  Make sure to let me know how terrible I am, however if you do that be ready for me to point out when I nailed it!  Best of luck and may your accounts be plentiful come Tuesday morning!
