Welcome to the NBA Daily Plays for Wednesday, March 9th. We are testing out a new format for our daily plays article. The hope is that it will give readers the same information and also allow us to bring you the daily plays more often. If there are any stats or categories you would like to see added please let us know. We are going to highlight important stats and trends that we have available in our tools section and highlight some of our favorite plays based on those stats. Make sure you check out our NBA projections page to help in your DFS research. We also have an NBA Injury News page which monitors all injury news and offers pivot plays to consider if the injured player ends up sitting.

Stud Plays
Kevin Durant (FD $10,900, DK $10,600) –
The Thunder draw the Clippers at home tonight which checks in as the 2nd highest O/U on the slate. Westbrook will be dealing with Chris Paul’s swarming defense but the Clippers do not have anyone that can slow Durant down. His ownership will most likely check in around the 30%+ range as three straight games of 60+ DraftKings points will draw a crowd of support. The only question is whether you want to limit exposure to him in GPPs or not.
Other Stud Plays: James Harden, LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Andre Drummond
Value Plays
Jose Calderon (FD $3,900, DK $3,700)-
The other value plays listed are obvious and should all see very high ownership so I tried to dig a little deeper to come up with a play that should exceed value at a low price and ownership. I love the matchup Calderon has tonight and coming on the 2nd part of a B2B I anticipate he is asked to generate more of the offense in a plus matchup. This game should stay close so as long as Calderon sees a full complement of minutes I see no reasons why he can’t exceed value.
Other Value Plays: JaMychal Green, Mario Chalmers, Alex Len
GPP Plays
Hassan Whiteside (FD $8,700, DK $8,400) –
Center is once again a stacked position tonight which makes playing Whiteside especially on a site like FanDuel rather tough. He does have the best DvP matchup on the slate but I anticipate most daily gamers will gravitate towards Drummond, Howard, Jordan or even Cousins (on FanDuel) in this price range. Whiteside will be low owned and in a contest that should go down to the wire, he has the potential to make some GPP lineups tonight.
Other GPP Plays: James Harden, Derrick Favors, Corey Brewer
