NBA Daily Plays

Welcome to the NBA Daily Plays for Monday, February 29th. We are testing out a new format for our daily plays article. The hope is that it will give readers the same information and also allow us to bring you the daily plays more often. If there are any stats or categories you would like to see added please let us know. We are going to highlight important stats and trends that we have available in our tools section and highlight some of our favorite plays based on those stats. Make sure you check out our NBA projections page to help in your DFS research. We also have an NBA Injury News page which monitors all injury news and offers pivot plays to consider if the injured player ends up sitting.

Stud Plays

Russell Westbrook (FD $11,000, DK $11,100) –

Westbrook is featured in this column regularly but as you can see he is my favorite option to pay up for. Tonight even more so then usual. Rajon Rondo is listed as questionable and hopefully he is able to play tonight as the only concern I have is the blowout factor. Besides playing in the highest over under game against a team that currently has one of the fastest pace since the All Star break, Westbrook also has an ideal defensive matchup if Rondo can play. On top of all that call it narrative street or just plain revenge but everyone remembers Curry’s heroics from Saturday night but people seem to forget that Westbrook was on the otherside of that performance. With Durant fouling out it was Westbrooks game to win and he could not get it done. I think he is ready to play with something to prove tonight and is definitely worth paying up for.

Other Stud Plays: Demarcus Cousins, Chris Paul, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dwight Howard

Value Plays

Nikola Jokic (FD $5,500, DK $5,400)-

The Grizzlies interior defense is not the same without Gasol. Brandan Wright is also questionable which leaves just Zach Randolph and JaMychal Green logging big minutes. Jokic should be able to take advantage. Besides his clunker against the Mavs last time out, Jokic has been meeting consistent value since the All Star break. We have a lot of good center options again tonight but Jokic is my favorite.

Other Value Plays: Darren Collison, Donald Sloan, Jae Crowder

GPP Plays

Marcin Gortat (FD $6,900, DK $6,900) –

Can Gortat exceed value in limited minutes? Or will this game somehow stay close enough that Gortat needs to play at times in the 4th? These questions make Gortat an interesting GPP option.

Other GPP Plays: James Harden, Jabari Parker, Lance Stephenson
