NFL DFS Week 1 Plays

Week 16 is upon us and I sit here wondering how we are at this point already!  Feels like just a few weeks ago we started the season and now we have just a few more weeks of NFL DFS.  I hope you enjoyed this weeks stack options as we will now take a look at some stud and value plays. Below will be some popular plays and should be on peoples radar for their cash game lineups.

QuarterBack

Studs

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

Roethlisberger gets to take on one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL as the Ravens just can not seem to slow down passing offenses.  We have seen Big Ben put up monster days against excellent pass defenses recently (Denver and Seattle), so this match-up should be a walk in the park as the Steelers battle for their post-season lives.

Other Studs:  Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks, Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers, Blake Bortles, Jacksonville Jaguars

Values

Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs

I debated the values spot quite a bit and ended up with Smith as the Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now and Smith’s price never seems to rise.  Smith has been focusing on Maclin a ton lately and I think that continues against the weak Browns defense this weekend.  The Chiefs have a chance to jump the Broncos for the division lead this weekend and I think that is what happens.

Other Values: Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota Vikings, Ryan Tannehill, Miami Dolphins, Ryan Fitzpatrick, New York Jets

Running Backs

Studs

Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings

I know there are a ton of us out there that were burned by AP last week and that will drive his ownership down as will the fact that he is banged up.  I feel like this is a week for AP to step up in a prime time game, against a swiss cheese run defense and I could see a 150 yard performance to go along with 2 TD’s for AP this weekend.

Other Studs: Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, DeAngelo Williams, Pittsburgh Steelers, Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons

Values

Cameron Artis-Payne, Carolina Panthers

CAP stepped in for Stewart last week and looked pretty solid getting his first real action of the season and I expect the Panthers to sit Stewart again this week.  The Falcons run D has been pretty bad this season and I can see CAP seeing about 20 touches this week and I think he finds the end zone as well.

Other values: Mike Gillislee, Buffalo Bills, James White, New England Patriots, Christine Michael, Seattle Seahawks

Wide Receivers

Studs

Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers

Like this should shock you right?  Brown showed us last week why he is the best receiver in football as he torched the Broncos DB’s and should find it much easier this weekend against the Ravens.  I love this Steelers offense and think that they could end up with around 6 TD’s on the day and Brown is a good bet to get a couple of them!

Other Studs: Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars, Brandon Marshall, New York Jets, DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans

Values

Stefon Diggs, Minnesota Vikings

Diggs seemed to have hit a wall along with some struggles from Bridgewater, however he found the end-zone twice last week and gets a nice match-up against the Giants this weekend in what is a big time game for both teams.  I do not hear a lot of talk about Diggs and I think that makes him even more intriguing to me this weekend!

Other Values: Rueben Randle, New York Giants, Tyler Lockett, Seattle Seahawks, Dorial Green-Beckham, Tennessee Titans

Tight End

Studs

Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers

Olsen’s price is catching up to Gronk’s and that generally is pretty scary however Olsen just continues to put up numbers week after week.  The Falcons have been pretty porous against the TE position this season so it would not shock me to see a 100 yard game and 2 TD’s out of Olsen this weekend.

Other studs: Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots, Delanie Walker Tennessee Titans, Ben Watson, New Orleans Saints

Values

Will Tye, New York Giants

Tye has scored a TD in back to back games and the Giants are going to need to rely on him this week as they will be without Odell Beckham Jr against the Vikings on Sunday night football.  The Giants have to win this game for fear that they may be eliminated from the division race.  I think he makes a great GPP option this weekend.

Other values: Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings, Maxx Williams, Baltimore Ravens, Jordan Cameron, Miami Dolphins
