DFS NFL

Before we take a look at week 16’s options I want to make sure to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!  Enjoy every moment you get to spend with family and friends as life generally has a weird way of working.  Always remember that, while we love DFS and get a ton of enjoyment out of it, DFS is a game involving games and its not a make or break thing for us.  Alright, with that said let’s take a look at some of the combinations we should be targeting this week!

QB/WR Stacks

I think the top option is fairly obvious for this week as it is just too tough to ignore Ben Roethlisberger/Antonio Brown, especially after Brown tore up the vaunted Broncos pass defense last weekend.  I certainly think you can get cute and try to use Martavis Bryant and even Markus Wheaton as the Ravens pass D is absolutely terrible.

My second duo is Blake Bortles/Allen Robinson as the Jaguars get to take on the Saints defense that gets shredded by passing offenses on a weekly basis. Hurns will be a popular choice as well, however I just hate how TD dependent he is.

My third stack is the Seattle Seahawks pass offense as they are the hottest in the league.  The opponent is not exactly a cake walk, however Russell Wilson/Doug Baldwin/Tyler Lockett/Jermaine Kearse are on another planet right now.  Baldwin is going to be the most popular which is why I made sure to mention Kearse as a sneaky play.  I will talk more about Lockett later on.

My last two combinations are a bit under the radar and are far from sexy, however I think Teddy Bridgewater/Stefon Diggs and Ryan Tannehill/Jarvis Landry are in spots where they get to play at home against very weak pass defenses.

RB/DEF Stacks

My first duo is probably going to surprise some and it is made with the belief that they will sit/rest Stewart as I think Cameron Artis-Payne/Carolina are in a great spot against a terrible Falcons run D and the Panthers defense is always dangerous, even after a rough second half last week.  They are an opportunistic defense that can take anything to the house.

My second stack is Charcandrick West/Kansas City as they get to take on an overall weak Cleveland Browns team at home.  West seems to be getting healthier and healthier and now he gets to face a run defense that has been pretty non-existent most of the season.  The Chiefs might be the top D option of the week as the Browns offense should struggle in this one.

Third stack is Christine Michael/Seattle as Michael looked really solid last week as he stepped in for Rawls and I could see him approaching 20 carries in this game against St. Louis at home.  Seattle’s defense has been one of my top 3 for much of the season and this is another week where I expect them to be very dominant.

My fourth combination is Adrian Peterson/Minnesota and yes I know AP has some health issues right now but I expect him to be fired up and ready to go Sunday night against a Giants defense that just can not stop anybody right now.  The Vikings defense gets a huge break as Odell Beckham Jr. is suspended for this game and it really hurts the Giants offense as Manning seems to struggle when targeting other receivers.

The last combination has me trying to predict how the RB touches are going to go in Buffalo.  I have Mike Gillislee/Buffalo as a very sneaky combination as Gillislee looked solid in relief of McCoy last week and with Karlos Williams still coming back from injuries I think Gillislee leads the RB’s of Buffalo in touches.  The Bills defense gets the benefit of getting to face Kellen Moore at home in this one.

Returner/DEF Stacks

Well we get our weekly mention of Tyler Lockett/Seattle as Lockett is becoming a huge part of the offense and is arguably the most dangerous return man in the NFL right now and was just recognized as such with a Pro-Bowl birth.

My second choice is Antonio Brown/Pittsburgh and I know what you are thinking, Antonio Brown is always a stud!  Well yes this is true, however he is also the Steelers’ punt returner and I think this week makes an interesting situation where you could stack Big Ben with Brown and DeAngelo Williams while also including the Steelers defense.  This is certainly a GPP only type of a scenario.

I will always mention Ted Ginn/Carolina as long as he continues to get deep ball targets as he is also an extremely dangerous punt returner.  Can you imagine the season Ginn would be having if he could hold onto the ball?  The guy continually gets open deep and I think he gets a couple chances again this week.

There you have it for Week 16 of the NFL season!  We should have some exciting games this weekend as teams jockey for playoff positioning as well as battle for their post season lives.  As always, please hit me up on twitter or in the comments below with your questions, thoughts, concerns or if you feel like I am off my rocker, feel free to let me know!  Best of luck DFS’ers!!!
