Welcome to week 13 as we take a look at some of the stacks that we might be able to take advantage of in our DFS games this weekend. I definitely apologize for not being able to get you guys an article or two last weekend as I ended up being extremely sick and am just now starting to get better. Let’s take a look at who we should be targeting this weekend!
QB/WR Stacks
I think my number 1 combination is going to be a very very popular option as the New Orleans Saints are just a terrible defense right now and I expect the Panthers to stick it to them this weekend, which would mean Cam Newton/Greg Olsen are in a prime spot. The Saints are rocking the worst defense against QB’s this season and I do not expect that to suddenly change. My second combination is Eli Manning/Odell Beckham Jr as they take on a Jets defense that has started to struggle and most likely will be without Revis-Island. The Giants are in a battle for the NFC East division and I think they start to focus on just getting the ball into their playmakers’ hands and that playmaker is ODB. My third duo is Ryan Fitzpatrick/Brandon Marshall as they are the other side of the NYG-NYJ match-up this weekend. Marshall has scored a TD in 4 straight games coming into this week, while the Giants have given up the second most points to opposing QB’s on the season. I think this game ends up with a lot of fantasy goodness. My fourth combination is going to be Tom Brady/Danny Amendola as the Eagles pass D has been absolutely atrocious recently. I know a ton of people are going to look to pair Brady with Scott Chandler and I can definitely understand that, however I expect Amendola to return and pick up right where he left off. My fifth stack, or my under the radar stack, is in Chicago as I am really loving the Jay Cutler/Alshon Jeffery combination. Cutler has been really solid this season and it is shocking to say that as he normally self-destructs. Jeffery has been a beast when he is on the field and I expect him to be at his best this weekend after getting a week and a half to rest.
RB/DEF Stacks
This was a tough section for me to pinpoint the guys I am looking at, as the defenses are ones that are making it tough to find a solid pairing. I have managed to put together 7 pairings that I am going to list for you and I will talk about a handful of them. We will start with LeGarrette Blount/New England as I think the Patriots will generally look to pound the ball plus the Eagles QB’s just can not stop turning the ball over. I think my favorite combination is going to be David Johnson/Arizona as he gets to take over the number 1 back role while the defense gets to take on a turnover prone St Louis offense. My next combination may shock you as the match-up is going to be tough, however Adrian Peterson/Minnesota are ones that could more than pay off as AP is running better than any other back in the NFL right now and Seattle’s offense has struggled on the road. I really like CJ Anderson/Denver this weekend as San Diego has been unable to stop the run all season and with the number of pass attempts Rivers takes, the odds of one ending in a pick 6 are definitely up there. The last 3 combinations that I have in places this weekend are Doug Martin/Tampa Bay, Jeremy Hill/Cincinnati and DeAngelo Williams/Pittsburgh.
Returner/DEF Stacks
My number one combination is going to be Tyler Lockett/Seattle as Lockett is just extremely dangerous and we know the Vikings offense is capable of turning it over at times which could lead to a quick defensive TD for Seattle. My second combination was one I talked about under the RB/DEF stack as David Johnson/Arizona are in great spots so they fall into this slot as well. I think Jarvis Landry/Miami is a sneaky option as Landry should do great work on the offensive end and could always take a punt back at any point, plus the fact that Miami gets to face off against a turnover prone Matt Schaub. My last combination is Ted Ginn/Carolina as they take on a Saints offense that just doesn’t scare me and Ginn is somebody that is capable of ending up with a TD three different ways (Catch, Run, Return).
There we have it for week 13, make sure you hit me up on twitter with any thoughts and best of luck!
