The NBA Daily Plays for Tuesday, December 1st breaks down the best Stud, Value and GPP plays at each position for FanDuel and DraftKings daily fantasy sports contests. The Stud & Value plays should be considered relatively chalky and are ideal for cash games. The GPP plays dig a little deeper to hopefully find some low owned talent who could pay off big in a tournament. Make sure you check out our NBA projections page to help in your DFS research.
Game Lines

Point Guard
Studs
Brandon Knight, Phoenix Suns (FD $7,900, DK $7,900) –
Brandon Knight is in an incredible spot tonight. The point guard’s game has been propelled by his numerous buckets, particularly at the 3-point line. It just so happens that his opponent, the Nets, are allowing 9.8 three-pointers a game, good for second worst in the league. Knight is a must in cash games.
Values
Isaiah Canaan (FD $4,400, DK $5,000)-
Canaan seems to have the starting role locked down in Philly, averaging 31.4 MPG over his last five outings. The Lakers are allowing 58 FPPG on DraftKings. Yes, Fifty-eight. Canaan is in a great spot tonight, and could help lead the Sixers to their first win.
GPP Plays
John Wall, Washington Wizards (FD $8,100, DK $7,800)-
John Wall has seem to hit a wall. The Wizard has been slumping hard lately, disappointing fantasy owners along the way. However, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Wall’s opposition tonight, Mo Williams and the Cavs, are extremely generous to opposing point guards. Williams will be simply outmatched, and hopefully Wall can take advantage.
Shooting Guard
Studs
Eric Bledsoe, Phoenix Suns (FD $8,700, DK $8,300) –
Much like his coworker in the back court, Bledsoe can also drain threes like it’s nobody’s business. As noted above, the Nets are terrible at defending beyond the arc. Fire up Bledsoe in cash without hesitation.
Values
J.R. Smith, Cleveland Cavaliers (FD $5,300, DK $5,300)-
If you’re looking to save a little cash at shooting guard tonight, J.R. Smith is in a great spot. The 3-point specialist faces off against the Wizards, who are allowing a league-worst 10 3PM per game.
GPP Plays
C.J. McCollum, Portland Trailblazers (FD $6,700, DK $6,600) –
Damian Lillard is questionable tonight (abdomen), and if he sits, things get interesting for C.J. McCollum. The shooting guard would be looked upon to contribute a majority of the scoring, and may even swing to point. Keep an eye on Lillard’s status, but McCollum is a solid play regardless.
Small Forward
Studs
LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers (FD $10,100, DK $9,700)
I’m hesitant to play LeBron tonight, as Vegas is predicting the Cavaliers to blow Washington out of the water. However, the Wizards are one of the worst teams vs. opposing small forwards, and they don’t have an answer for LeBron on their roster. King James may reach value in 3 quarters alone.
GPP Plays
Robert Covington, Philadelphia 76ers (FD $6,400, DK $6,700) –
Covington has been on fire lately, scoring in bunches and rebounding like a fiend. His hot streak should continue tonight, as he faces an abysmal Lakers defense. Try to fit in both LeBron and Covington if you can.
Power Forward
Studs
Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans (FD $10,800, DK $10,600) –
Another Anthony Davis night, another tough decision for daily fantasy players. The Brow seems to have hit a health streak, but it’s possible he could be injured on any given night. New Orleans is being especially careful with their all star, but the risk is sometimes worth the reward.
Values
Jon Leuer, Phoenix Suns (FD $3,700, DK $3,500)-
Leuer’s value all depends on Tyson Chandler’s absence. If Chandler (doubtful) sits for the fourth game in a row, Leuer is probably the best value play on the board. Nearly priced at a minimum, Leuer is a big-time scorer in the post, and can even knock it down from beyond the arc. Keep an eye on Chandler’s status tonight before pulling the trigger.
GPP Plays
Kevin Love, Cleveland Cavaliers (FD $8,300, DK $8,600)-
Love may seem more like a cash game play, given his dominance recently, but the big man continues to go relatively unnoticed. He’s an excellent pivot from Anthony Davis, and a cash-saver as well. It also helps that the Wizards have been extremely leaky in the post.
Center
Studs
Jahlil Okafor (FD $6,400, DK $6,600) –
Lost in all of the off-court drama is the fact that Okafor has hit a bit of a rookie slump. However, he’s still rebounding like a fiend, and has the opportunity to dominate the front court vs. the lowly Lakers. Fun fact: the Lakers are allowing opposing teams to pull down a league-high 56 RPG.
Values
Alex Len, Phoenix Suns (FD $3,500, DK $3,200)-
Tyson Chandler is doubtful tonight, so Len will most likely receive the start vs. the Nets. Jon Leuer is the better play, but Len has a good chance to hit value at minimum salary.
GPP Plays
Brook Lopez, Brooklyn Nets (FD $8,400, DK $7,400)
Brook Lopez has been great recently, averaging 20 points and 9 rebounds over his past five games. His matchup vs. the Suns front court is tough, but Lopez will see plenty of usage, as the Nets will try to isolate this game near the rim.
