NFL Week 6 Plays

Welcome to the Week 6 plays article and as I write this all I can do is wonder what Devonta Freeman has for breakfast daily and whether I need to get on that diet.  The guy is just a fantasy machine and appears that he has no desire to slow down.  Getting back to the article at hand, I will be discussing some Studs and some value plays to be considered around the industry for the weekend.

QuarterBack

Studs

Tom Brady vs IND (DK $8,100) (FD $9,000)

Well, well, well……Tom Brady gets to take on the Colts team that started all of the Deflate Gate drama and he gets to go into Indy to take them on.  Most of the time we want our players playing at home, however I really think Brady is in one of those spots that he is going to relish the idea of going into Indy and throttling them.  The Patriots have absolutely owned the Colts over the last few seasons and I expect this one to be ugly from the start, the only big thing being the fact that the Patriots may not let up on the gas until the final seconds.

Other Studs: Aaron Rodgers , Eli Manning, and Carson Palmer

Values

Andy Dalton vs BUF (DK $5,700) (FD $7,600)

Andy Dalton is the second highest fantasy scoring QB, but yet he is the 14th highest priced QB on DK and the 12th highest priced on FD.  The Bills have a solid defense, however they do most of their work stopping the run and their opponents are throwing the ball 70% of the time.  Dalton has been ridiculously hot and is cable of adding a running score or two in this game.  Instead of me trying to figure out why they have left him so cheap, I am just going to plug him into my cash games and probably 25% of my GPP lineups.

Other Values: Sam Bradford, Colin Kaepernick, and Brian Hoyer

Running Backs

Studs

Arian Foster vs JAC (DK $7,000) (FD $8,500) –

Foster looked pretty good as he increased his snap count by basically 50% from Week 4 to Week 5 and I expect that number to increase again as he gets closer to 100% healthy.  He gets to take on a Jaguars defense that was just run all over on by Doug Martin and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Foster is a huge piece of the passing game of the Texans as well and I expect this game to have a lot of fantasy goodness in it, from both sides.

Other Studs: Adrian Peterson , Le’Veon Bell  and Matt Forte

Values

Dion Lewis (DK $5,800) (FD $7,200)

I told you earlier how I loved what the Patriots are going to do in this game and Lewis is a big part of their game plan as he is extremely active in the passing game and is electric in the open field as evidenced by his sick touchdown catch and run last week where he let a linebacker go over the top of him in his juke.  His FD price is a little higher than you would normally see in a value spot, however he is nearly an automatic play for me at this point.  If that $7200 is a little much for you on FD for your value, then check out a few of the guys I have listed below.

Other values: Giovanni Bernard, Chris Ivory, Theo Riddick, and Lamar Miller

Wide Receivers

Studs

Deandre Hopkins vs JAC (DK $7,700) (FD $8,500)

Hopkins is on pace to shatter the targets record in the NFL this season and I just do not see a reason for his pace to not continue as Hoyer should be looking his way all day long.  At this point I feel like Hopkins needs to be priced as the most expensive receiver, however that probably will not happen when the league has guys like Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr and Antonio Brown.  My cash game lineups start with instantly plugging Hopkins in this weekend.

Other Studs: Odell Beckham JR (DK $9,100) (FD $9,100), Julian Edelman, Larry Fitzgerald, and Calvin Johnson

Values

Anquan Boldin vs BAL  (DK $4,300) (FD $6,500)

Boldin really stepped up last week for the 49ers and he now gets to face his old time while they are really struggling to slow down even the Browns passing offense as they allowed McCown to go crazy against them last week.  There is a lot of buzz around the industry about the 49ers passing game this weekend and I am drinking the Kool-Aid.  I don’t remember ever seeing Boldin’s price on DK get to this level and I want to take advantage of it this week.

Other Values: Allen Hurns, Stefon Diggs, Marquess Wilson and Eric Decker

Tight End

Studs

Ron Gronkowski vs IND  (DK $7,600) (FD $8,200)

Gronk is priced significantly higher than any other TE and that is fine with me as he plays more like a WR and is very much deserving of that price as he is capable of a 3 TD game at any time.  He is the one player on the Patriots who LOVES to play with an edge and use raw emotion to drive him on the field and I could see this being one of those Gronk-You games where he goes for 140+ and 3 scores, while jawing the entire time.  I think people will go elsewhere for their cash games in order to save money which could certainly put you in a great cash game spot should you find the right combination to pair with Gronk.

Other studs: Martellus Bennett, Greg Olsen, and Tyler Eifert

Values

Larry Donnell vs PHI   (DK $2,800) (FD $5,300)

Donnell is coming off of a very strong game where he made a sick TD grab late to seal the win for the Giants and he seems to be gaining Eli’s trust more and more as the season goes on.  He is averaging about 6 targets a game right now and that could increase should the Giants be missing any of their top WRs as Beckham Jr, Randle and Cruz are all dealing with various leg injuries.  Look for Donnell to be a go-to guy Monday night as the Giants try to keep up with the fast paced Eagles.

Other values: Antonio Gates, Zach Ertz, Kyle Rudolph and Richard Rodgers

There you have it for Week 6, make sure to hit me up on twitter or leave comments below and tell me how terrible I am doing for you 🙂  Also feel free to reach out to me with individual start/sit questions. Best of Luck this weekend!!!
