Steven Stamkos vs. PHI ($7.4 DK / $8.3 FD)
It’s hard to ignore Steven Stamkos’ league-high 13 goals in the last 30 days. Twelve of those (five on the PP) have come in his last 10 games, where he has a total of 16 points. “Stammer” has goals in nine of his past 12 games and 20 total this season. You can fade him in a couple spots if you’d like, but he’s a strong Cash game option. Brayden Point is a tad cheaper and is lighting it up as well.
Evgeni Malkin vs. DET ($6.3 DK / $7.7 FD)
Evgeni Malkin has only four goals in his last 25 games, which has resulted in a lower price than normal. Even with 11 goals and his lowest shooting percentage (12.9) in five years, Malkin still has 37 points in 36 games. It’s only a matter of time before last year’s 42-goal scorer breaks out, so now is a good time to get on him in tournaments. Detroit has allowed the third-most shots and the second-most goals over the last 30 days. The rank 11th in scoring chances and high danger scoring chances against at 5 on 5, per 60 minutes.
Others to consider: Connor McDavid, Patrice Bergeron, Nathan MacKinnon, Sidney Crosby, Brayden Point, Jack Eichel, Mark Scheifele, Eric Staal, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Dylan Larkin, Nicklas Backstrom, William Karlsson, Mikko Koivu, Ryan O’Reilly
NHL DFS Wingers
Zach Parise @ CHI ($5.5 DK / $6.0 FD)
The Chicago Blackhawks have allowed a league-high 527 shots and 63 goals over the last 30 days. That’s 12 more goals than the next closest team. Plus, they are allowing the most scoring chances and high danger scoring chances in the last 30 days at 5 on 5, per 60 minutes. Zach Parise hasn’t hit the score sheet over Minnesota’s last four games, but he leads the team with 15 goals, and his 98 shots rank second behind Eric Staal.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins vs. VAN ($6.5 DK / $5.3 FD)
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ price is only going to continue to rise once the points start to pile up. In his first game since being placed back on Connor McDavid’s line, Nugent-Hopkins scored a goal and picked up two points. He has 33 points in 36 games this season. Vancouver has allowed the third-most scoring chances in the last 30 days, and Edmonton has allowed the second most. It’s very possible we see some goals in this Canucks-Oilers game.
Alex Tuch vs. COL ($5.9 DK / $5.0 FD)
Alex Tuch was promoted to Vegas’ top line with William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault last week. Tuch doesn’t have a goal in his last four games, but the 19:08 he played in his last contest was his most in nine games. Tuch has 12 goals, 26 points, and 77 shots in 31 games. In the last 30 days, the Colorado Avalanche rank inside the top 10 in shots, scoring chances, and high danger scoring chances against at 5 on 5, per hour.
Bryan Rust vs. DET ($5.7 DK / $5.7 FD)
Bryan Rust’s price continues to rise, but he continues to produce. Rust has a league-high eight goals in the last two weeks, and his 11 points are one behind the league high over that span. He enters with five goals and eight points over a current five-game point streak, all while playing on Sidney Crosby’s wing. Rust’s 25 shots in the last 14 days are tied for the seventh-most, and he’s starting to log minutes on the power play.
Others to consider: Alex Ovechkin, David Pastrnak, Nikita Kucherov, Cam Atkinson, Artemi Panarin, Jake Guentzel, Mikael Granlund, Tyler Johnson, Brock Boeser, Jason Zucker, Ondrej Palat, Nino Niederreiter, Alex Chiasson, Ilya Kovalchuk
NHL DFS Defensemen
Brent Burns vs. ANH ($6.3 DK / $7.1 FD)
It’s never a bad idea to spend up on Brent Burns, but he makes a lot of sense tonight as Erik Karlsson will serve the second game of his two-game suspension. Burns played a season-high 29:52 in San Jose’s last game, which was six more minutes than he averages on the season. Burns ranks third in shots and points among defensemen.
Jared Spurgeon @ CHI ($4.8 DK / $4.6 FD)
Jared Spurgeon is averaging 27 minutes per game in his last four games, and he’ll continue to eat up minutes with Matt Dumba sidelined for the next three months. Spurgeon doesn’t have a point in his last four games, but he has 11 shots and has taken Dumba’s spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.
Others to consider: Seth Jones, Kris Letang, Victor Hedman, Torey Krug, Darnell Nurse, Rasmus Ristolainen, Ryan Suter, Drew Doughty, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Jakob Chychrun, Nate Schmidt, Tyson Barrie, Alexander Edler
NHL DFS Goalies
Joonas Korpisalo @ NYR ($7.6 DK / $7.6 FD)
Sergei Bobrovsky is getting the night off and, although, Joonas Korpisalo’s numbers haven’t been as good, you should take advantage of the price and matchup. The opposing Rangers have lost eight of their last 10 games, while the Blue Jackets have won five of six.
Others to consider: Devan Dubnyk, Jaroslav Halak, Braden Holtby, Jonathan Quick
