NHL DFS Centers
Tyler Seguin vs. CHI ($7.5 DK / $7.9 FD)
Tyler Seguin’s 136 shots on goal rank fourth in the NHL, but he has only 10 goals. That’ll happen when you have a career-low 7.4 shooting percentage. Seguin scored 40 goals last season and had back-to-back 37-goal seasons in 2013 and 2014. Given that, it’s only a matter of time before he starts filling the net, and it may start tonight. His opponent, the Chicago Blackhawks, rank fourth in shots against and second in goals against per game.
Max Domi @ ARI ($5.5 DK / $6.3 FD)
The Arizona Coyotes rank inside the top 10 in scoring chances and high danger scoring chances against at 5 on 5, per 60 minutes. Montreal creates the third-most scoring chances for at 5 on 5, per hour, and they are averaging the third-most shots per game (34.2). Max Domi has been quiet of late, but he still has 33 points in 35 games. Domi has a much more affordable price tag on DraftKings. Plus, you get the revenge narrative.
Others to consider: Sebastian Aho, Auston Matthews, Aleksander Barkov, Dylan Larkin, Ryan Getzlaf, David Krejci, Ryan Johansen, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Nolan Patrick, Martin Hanzal, Mikko Koivu
NHL DFS Wingers
Cam Atkinson vs. NJ ($7.6 DK / $7.2 FD)
The New Jersey Devils have lost 10 of their last 12 games and have given up at least four goals 10 times over that span. Hence, Columbus has a pretty good opportunity at home to fill the net, and Cam Atkinson is the safest Blue Jacket due to his shot volume. Atkinson’s 54 shots on goal in the last 30 days are tied for the sixth most among forwards.
William Nylander vs. FLA ($4.3 DK / $4.9 FD)
William Nylander has zero goals in his six games this season and only two assists. He’s been all over the net with nine shots in his past three games, and his price tag is at an all-time low. Then, all of the Maple Leafs’ forwards are in play against a Florida squad that has allowed the fifth-most high danger chances at 5 on 5, per 60 minutes, as well as the fifth-most goals per game (3.5). Get on Nylander now while nobody is and before the run starts.
Bryan Rust vs. MIN ($4.5 DK / $4.7 FD)
The Penguins are in a bit of a bad spot as they played a hard-fought game in Washington last night. Devan Dubnyk is not the best goalie to stack against, but Bryan Rust is cheap and producing on Sidney Crosby’s line. Rust has a goal in three straight games and six in his past five contests, with 21 shots over that span.
Others to consider: David Pastrnak, Artemi Panarin, Mitch Marner, Alexander Radulov, Jamie Benn, Brock Boeser, Ondrej Kase, Kevin Fiala, Brad Marchand, Zach Parise, Mike Hoffman, Pontus Aberg, Nino Niederreiter
NHL DFS Defensemen
Seth Jones vs. NJ ($6.4 DK / $5.7 FD)
As mentioned above, the matchup is right for the Blue Jackets this evening. Plus, Seth Jones logs so much ice time. Jones leads the NHL in ice time (26:27) and has 19 points in 26 games. His 2.88 shots per game rank seventh among defensemen, and in the last 30 days, his average is at 3.38, good for fourth in the league.
Miro Heiskanen vs. CHI ($4.8 DK / $4.4 FD)
Miro Heiskanen averaged 21 minutes per game in October, but he’s averaged 24 per game since the loss of John Klingberg. Heiskanen hasn’t been as productive on a point-per-game basis as Klingberg, but the rookie defenseman has three goals, seven points, and 22 shots in his last nine games. Four of his 17 points have come on the power play.
*John Klingberg is expected to return to the lineup this evening, which makes Heiskanen a GPP play only.
Others to consider: Morgan Rielly, Seth Jones, Shea Weber, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Justin Faulk, Victor Hedman, Roman Josi, Dougie Hamilton, Jeff Petry
NHL DFS Goalies
Sergei Bobrovsky vs. NJ ($8.2 DK / $8.5 FD)
We’re continuing with the Columbus theme here: try rocking Sergei Bobrovsky in net. NJ has a league-low 11 wins on the season, and Bobrovsky has allowed only three goals in past two games. He’s fresh off a 28-save shutout against Vegas.
Others to consider: Marc-Andre Fleury, Frederik Andersen, Ben Bishop, Carter Hart (GPP)
