Week 13 of NFL DFS is here, and we’re looking to cash in on the big daily fantasy football money at FanDuel. Now through the playoffs, we’ll bring you our top NFL DFS GPP picks for each position and recommend some cash plays as well.
As with any daily fantasy sport, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, game flow, and several more factors. This viewpoint is important to remember when constructing a roster on any of the daily fantasy sites.
FanDuel DFS Week 13 Tournaments
FanDuel DFS Quarterback Picks
Jared Goff @ DET $8.4K
The Los Angeles Rams’ 33.5 implied team total is tied for the highest of the week. Jared Goff has 13 touchdowns in his past four games and at least 21 FD points in each of those contests. The Detroit Lions have allowed 24 passing touchdowns (two behind the league high), and the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the last four weeks. Their play of late has them ranked 31st in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. This offense has had two weeks to prepare, and the game’s 55-point total is the second highest of the week.
Deshaun Watson vs. CLE $7.9K
Deshaun Watson has two 30-point fantasy games in his last four contests and is in a good spot this week. The Cleveland Browns are giving up the second-most yards per game and fourth-most passing yards per game. They are allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game, which is good news for Lamar Miller and Watson, who combined for 232 rushing yards last week. Watson had 70 and scored a rushing touchdown. That’s the kind of upside he brings each week. The Browns rank inside the top 10 in fantasy points against per game to each skilled position.
Cash game QBs to consider: Patrick Mahomes, Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Andrew Luck, Lamar Jackson
FanDuel DFS Running Back Picks
Aaron Jones vs. ARI $7.6K
It’s never a bad call to roster a running back on a team favored by two scores at home. Not to mention, this matchup against the Arizona Cardinals is one of the better ones to target on the slate. Arizona has coughed up a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns, and they’ve surrendered the third-most rushing yards, as well as fantasy points, per game to backs. Aaron Jones had a season-high 17 carries and 20 touches last week while scoring a rushing touchdown for the third straight game. He has six total TDs in the last five games, and it’s resulted in the fifth-most fantasy points among backs over that span. Jones also enters with 11 receptions for over 100 yards in his past three games.
Phillip Lindsay @ CIN $7.0K
The Cincinnati Bengals are allowing the most yards and points per game. They have surrendered the second-most passing yards and rushing yards per game. Opposing running backs have scored the second-most fantasy points per game against them. It’s all bad on defense for this Bengals squad. Phillip Lindsay is averaging 86 rushing yards per game in his last five contests and has 16 catches in his last six games.
Gus Edwards @ ATL $6.3K
“Gus the Bus” can’t be stopped. Edwards has 243 rushing yards on 40 carries in his last two games. He’ll be in a promising spot to build on that as the Atlanta Falcons rank 31st in rush DVOA. They have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing RBs and the seventh-most rushing yards. They’ve also given up 13 rushing TDs.
Cash game RBs to consider: Spencer Ware, Todd Gurley, Christian McCaffrey, David Johnson, Saquon Barkley, Lamar Miller, LeSean McCoy, Matt Breida
FanDuel DFS Wide Receiver Picks
Brandin Cooks $7.8K & Josh Reynolds $5.8K @ DET
As mentioned above, the Los Angeles Rams enter Week 13 with the highest implied total and a great matchup. The Lions have surrendered the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts over the last four weeks. Robert Woods may be the safest Rams WR, but Brandin Cooks has the highest ceiling. Cooks has hit the 100-yard mark in each of his last three games. In the last two games with Cooper Kupp sidelined, Cooks has 18 catches on 24 targets for 207 yards. Josh Reynolds is someone to think about as well. He reeled in six catches for 80 yards in his last game and has three touchdowns in his last three outings.
D.J. Moore @ TB $6.4K
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have allowed a league-high 26 passing touchdowns and the second-most points per game. TB ranks 32nd in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders, and has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wideouts. D.J. Moore has at least four catches in four of his past five games, including 17 targets, 15 grabs, and 148 yards in his past two. This over/under is set at 54.5: the third highest of the week.
Adam Humphries vs. CAR $6.0K
On the other side, Adam Humphries has scored at least 9.7 FanDuel points in five of his past seven, averaging 15 fantasy points in his last four games. Humphries has found the end zone four times over that span and has at least six catches in three of his past five contests. The volume has been there for a while now, and DeSean Jackson may miss this game. Even if he doesn’t, Humphries is fine, but if Jackson does miss this week’s game, you can think about Chris Godwin. Just get a piece of this game because Carolina ranks 27th in pass DVOA. The Panthers have also allowed 25 total passing touchdowns and 31 fantasy points per game to WRs over the last four weeks, which is the second-high mark in the league.
Chris Conley @ OAK $4.5K
If Sammy Watkins sits, dial up Chris Conley in tournaments. The Kansas City Chiefs are right there with the Rams in terms of implied total (33.5). Watkins was active in the Chiefs’ last game, but he didn’t play. Conley had seven catches on eight targets for 74 yards with two touchdowns in Week 10. Conley is the cheapest possible play on FanDuel, and his team may put up 40 points this week.
Cash game WRs to consider: Tyreek Hill, Adam Thielen, DeAndre Hopkins, Robert Woods, Mike Evans, Kenny Golladay, Emmanuel Sanders, Corey Davis, Julian Edelman, Tyler Lockett
FanDuel DFS Tight End Picks
Cameron Brate vs. CAR $4.9K
Cameron Brate scored his fourth touchdown of the season last week and has racked up 18 in his past three seasons. O.J. Howard remains sidelined, and the Carolina Panthers have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.
Cash game TEs to consider: Travis Kelce, George Kittle, Eric Ebron, Jared Cook
FanDuel Defense DFS Picks
Kansas City Chiefs @ OAK $4.3K
Derek Carr has three games with zero touchdowns in his past six starts, and he’s failed to throw for 200 yards in four of those contests. KC ranks third in sacks and sixth in interceptions. Carr will have to throw to keep up, which increases the chances of turnovers.
Cash game DSTs to consider: Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Tennessee Titans, Seattle Seahawks
