Week 11 of NFL DFS is here, and we’re looking to cash in on the big daily fantasy football money at FanDuel. Now through the playoffs, we’ll bring you our top NFL DFS GPP picks for each position and recommend some cash plays as well.
As with any daily fantasy sport, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, game flow and several more factors. This viewpoint is important to remember when constructing a roster on any of the daily fantasy sites.
FanDuel DFS Week 11 Tournaments
FanDuel DFS Quarterback Picks
Carson Wentz @ NO $7.7K
The 56 game total between the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles is the highest on the main slate. Drew Brees will likely light up this depleted Philly secondary, which will mean a ton of passing for Carson Wentz. New Orleans has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and the second-most passing yards per game. Football Outsiders has them as the fifth-worst D against the pass and they have allowed the 10th-most yards per game while giving up the ninth-most points per game.
Dak Prescott @ ATL $7.4K
The addition of Amari Cooper has improved the look of this offense and Dak Prescott is coming off his second-best passing yardage (270) game of the season. Prescott has hit the 20-point mark on FanDuel in three of his last four starts, thanks to three rushing touchdowns. His 34 rushing yards per game over the last five contests provided a solid floor. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. They are also allowing the third-most yards and passing yards per game.
Cash game QBs to consider: Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, Deshaun Watson
FanDuel DFS Running Back Picks
David Johnson vs. OAK $7.9K
The Oakland Raiders have coughed up the third-most rushing yards and points per game this season. They are allowing the sixth-most yards per game and seventh-most fantasy points per game to RBs. Football Outsiders has them as the 10th-worst defense against the run. David Johnson is fresh off a season-high 28 touches in Week 10, where he racked up 183 yards. Johnson had 98 rushing yards on 21 carries and caught seven of his nine targets for another 85 yards. Johnson has 11 receptions on 13 targets in his last two games, and it’s clear the change at OC was a good one.
Leonard Fournette vs. PIT $7.6K
Leonard Fournette may be considered a contrarian play as there are others at the top of the price board who have shown us more this season. Fournette has only played three games this season and his 53 rushing yards last week were the most he’s had. His did lead all back, though, with 29 touches and 25 carries. He caught five passes for another 56 yards and scored two total touchdowns. It’s clear that the Jacksonville Jaguars want to run their offense through Fournette, and he had success against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs; 109 yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Mark Ingram vs. PHI $7.1K
With six teams on bye, this is the week to spend up for quality running backs, but if you play in a lot of tournaments and want to differentiate yourself, Mark Ingram makes for an interesting option. The New Orleans Saints are the biggest favorites of the week (-9) and could lean on Ingram in the second half should this game get out of hand. Ezekiel Elliott ran all over the Eagles last week and Ingram is coming off a 162-yard game. The Eagles have allowed the fourth-most catches to running backs and Ingram could fall into the end zone a couple of times this week, because New Orleans’ 33.5 team implied total is the largest on the main slate.
Cash game RBs to consider: Ezekiel Elliott, Alvin Kamara, Melvin Gordon, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley
FanDuel DFS Wide Receiver Picks
Antonio Brown @ JAC $8.5K
There are four wide receivers who are more expensive than Antonio Brown on the main slate. He’s not the obvious play for once and people may shy away from him, but I’m here to remind you that he’s matchup proof. Jalen Ramsey is good, but the Jacksonville Jaguars have allowed Brown to catch 17 passes for 289 yards with two touchdowns in their last two games against him. As a tournament play, you’re getting one of the best wideouts in the game at drastically reduced ownership. Brown could be a tournament winner this week.
Alshon Jeffery @ NO $7.3K
I’d rather spend up for Zach Ertz, but Alshon Jeffery is a nice fall back option to pair up with Wentz. The Saints have allowed a league-high 42 fantasy points per game to wideouts and intend to play in shootouts. Jeffery has been quiet over the last two weeks, but he has three games with at least 74 yards and four touchdowns in his six contests this season.
Corey Davis @ IND $6.2K
Corey Davis will save you a bit of cash and has been strong over the past two weeks. Davis has 10 targets in each of his past two games with 13 total catches and 181 yards. He also has a touchdown over that span. The Indianapolis Colts rank 27th against the pass, according to Football Outsiders. They are surrendering the seventh-most points per game, as well as the ninth-most yards and passing yards per game.
Cash game WRs to consider: Michael Thomas, Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, T.Y. Hilton, Amari Cooper, Larry Fitzgerald
FanDuel DFS Tight End Picks
Ricky Seals-Jones vs. OAK $5.2K
Ricky Seals-Jones is another member of the Arizona Cardinals who has benefited from Byron Leftwich. He’s coming off a season-high nine targets and five catches in Week 10. The Raiders have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. They rank 32nd in pass DOVA and have surrendered the sixth-most passing yards per game.
Cash game TEs to consider: Zach Ertz, O.J. Howard, Evan Engram
FanDuel Defense DFS Picks
Pittsburgh Steelers @ JAC $3.8K
It’s never a bad idea to roll out a DST against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Blake Bortles has thrown eight interceptions this season and the Steelers have league-high 31 sacks.
Cash game DSTs to consider: Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Arizona Cardinals
