Week 11 is finally behind us and after what felt like a very long day over at DraftKings we can finally crown our champions of the weekend by taking a look across the industry at the Daily Fantasy Tournament Results. There were plenty of surprises in a weekend that turned out to be a pretty low scoring NFL weekend. Blowout wins were kept to a minimum and it turns out that less than 1% of us are able to get in the mind of Bill Belichick. Those who did figure out the man or placed Jonas Gray in their lineups for salary relief or as a crazy contrarian play are taking his 4 touchdowns all the way to the bank. The winner of the Millionaire Maker on DraftKings was sure happy about Jonas taking down the great white whale that is the Colt’s run defense. There were some very creative lineups this week and they had to be in order to pull of these great wins.
DaveTheChamp is our new DraftKings Millionaire. He won with a full Packers stack, including the Rocket Aaron Rodgers and his two big targets in Cobb and Nelson. This was an expensive play but with the value he found elsewhere he put together a pretty low owned lineup. Jonas Gray surprising day gave him a 41.1 score with a player at 0.6% owned. He missed his TE play with Rivera, but had enough points at the end of Sunday to hang on to the top spot. He was chased by players with Bell who threw up 33.2 DraftKings points but at the end of the Monday Night Sweats, he is now the newest DraftKings Millionaire. Check out his winning lineup below and study it hard, his lineup proves how much you have to take a chance to win a tournament like this.
We are getting down to the last few weeks to qualify for a trip to the Bahamas and a chance for a million dollars. There were four qualifiers this weekend and here are your winners.
blooopernyla nailed down his ticket in the $5 dollar qualifier. He actually missed an entire position. Montee Ball gave him a big fat 0 in one of his running back slots be he still managed to hang on for the victory. Mike Evans fantastic day in against the Skins defense and at 4% this was the player that took him over the top. TommyG5 (not to be confused with Tommyg1979 who finished 2nd in the $1000 KOTB queue) took down the $27 dollar queue with Jonas Gray and an Aaron Rodgers led lineup. His miss was Gates at TE but it doesn’t matter when nobody has a RB who put up 47.1 points. jsurab won the $200 qualifier with the Sanchize, Bell, and great outing by Alshon Jeffery. He streamed the Skins D, which on paper made sense, but it was his biggest miss. The high dollar $1000 KOTB queue was won by Comex_Warrior who punched his third and final ticket for entry.
$2.5M NFL Sunday Million
In come from behind fashion with the Monday Night Sweats over, yoyomah took home the top prize of $300,000 dollars. His lineup featured Jonas Gray as well, so he might have been feeling pretty good about his chances during MNF. It was a dominating victory by more than 12 points with his Rodgers and Cobb stack with the low owned Gray and a Monday Night comeback and great performance by Bell pushed him far into first. Check out his lineup below.
The two $2 dollar qualifiers were won by k_c_j and marlong085 and will be getting there trips to Vegas for a chance for millions. Like many lineups that won out there they both had Rodgers and his D which was enough for them to hang on through MNF for the win. scottyb711 edged out the competition in the $5 dollar queue. He came from behind on Monday to win and sent out the super low owned Josh McCown who racked up 20.32 FD points. pointstacker32 won the $10 qualifier with a Brian Hoyer led lineup. Hoyer did okay, but he had in the Gray. (Terrible I know) The $25 dollar queue was taken by tirella12 he slid up to the top as Bell blew down the doors on MNF with Brandon Marshall under 10% and McCown. bigmeatschoon took down the $200 dollar queue with a lineup that included Ryan Mathews. That didn’t work out well, but it didn’t matter because Rodgers, Marshall and JMatt had good enough outings to carry him yo victory. He used the same lineup in the $1065 queue to rack up two tickets by nights end.
Fantasy Aces Football Championship
This event has also closed it doors to qualifiers and is coming up soon. The_Glove ran out Bell in his second RB slot and slowly worked his way up the standings during MNF. He put a big score over 210 points and winning by 16 FA points. He had some low ownership across his lineup which you can check out below. Everyone at the top of this qualifier had Bell and Lacy but his two quarterbacks and the Green Bay D put him in first.
Another great weekend in the books and next week I look forward to covering the live events that are getting started. They are always exciting and full of water main breaks and other fun activities. Congrats to all the winners this week and good luck for those that are moving on to a live event this weekend. Happy Grinding Grinders!
