At online sportsbooks across the United States, sports fans betting on the National Football League have a wide array of options to choose from for each and every game on the schedule. That said, certain betting markets are more popular than others, and parlays are among the most popular throughout the NFL season.
These days, there are several different types of parlays offered at betting sites. Below, we’ll explain some of the different choices and make our Week 7 NFL parlay picks.
HOW DO NFL PARLAYS WORK?
Parlays combine two or more selections into the same wager in exchange for overall ods that are longer than a typical straight bet. The potential to win much more than you risk is one of the reasons why parlays are so popular.
The exact odds of a parlay depend on the number of selections each of the corresponding odds, but all parlays will boost your potential payout in some way. But keep in mind that all legs of your parlay need to win for you to receive the full payout. A push will remove the selection and keep the parlay alive.
These bets can include moneylines, spreads, totals, and even props in many cases, and bettors can choose to link together just two sides, or up 10, 12, or 15 depending on the sportsbook. Parlays are wholly customizable, meaning bettors get to choose how big they want the odds to go, how many sides will be included, and how difficult to make each leg of the parlay.
There are several ways to bet parlays. Some bettors just want the highest odds and largest payout possible, and a parlay is one way to get there. But just because the occasional big wins are what you see go viral on social media, they are closer to the exception and not the rule.
The way to establish even a modicum of consistency is to have just two or three sides and avoid chasing the astronomical odds. Of course, it’s fine to take your shot at a massive payout as well, but be sure to only risk money you’re prepared to lose.

Week 7 NFL Parlays | What The Sportsbooks Are Offering
If you aren’t into building out your own parlay, you can start by selecting from the options offered by the sportsbook. Once you dig into props, the number of betting options can be a bit overwhelming, so you can stick to sides and totals.
For each individual NFL contest, sportsbook also offers bettors the chance to link the moneyline or spread together with the total. Think of this as a sort of same-game parlay, which we’ll get more into below, just without any of the props attached. Sometimes, correlating one side with the total in the same matchup can be easier than analyzing multiple football games.
Philadelphia Eagles +3.5 & Over 48.5 (+230 at FanDuel): The spread on this game is Eagles +3 and the total is up to 49 at most sites, but FanDuel’s spread/total points parlay gives us a half-point on both for Week 7.
The Raiders rebounded from adversity with a huge win over Denver, but we’d be wrong to think the ship has been righted. The Raiders can’t run the ball, but the Eagles are decent at stopping the pass. The Raiders struggle to stop the run (27th in yards per rush allowed), and the Eagles are one of the most efficient running teams in the league.
Philadelphia managed a back-door cover in Week 6 and we think the same thing can happen here at +3.5 points. Overall, we do see some scoring taking place inside the friendly confines of Allegiant Stadium and can see this one going over the total.
Kansas City Chiefs ML & Over 52.5 (+125 at BetMGM): BetMGM has many combinations of moneyline/total and spread/total parlays for every single game, and we like the Chiefs to win while combining with Tennessee to score 53 points.
This game features two high-powered offenses against two of the worst defenses in the NFL. Every single Chiefs game has had at least one 30+ point scorer, and four of the Titan’s six games have hit this over.
Tennessee is coming off a huge win against Buffalo but this is a prime letdown spot. The Chiefs’ defense was slightly better against Washington but even if it gets shredded, Patrick Mahomes & Co. may reach 40 points by itself.
When these two face off in Chicago, we mostly see low-scoring affairs. This total started around 47.5 and plunged to 44.5. We’re covering a few key numbers and taking the under. Combined, we’ll take +115 for two sides we’re comfortable with.
Week 7 NFL Same Game Parlay | Browns vs. Broncos Picks
Same-game parlays are becoming much more popular and now, nearly every big sportsbook offers them. Bettors can combine game results (ML, spread, and totals) with game, team, and player props to create a larger bet that is entirely focused on one contest.
Below, we’ve combined the moneyline with an alternate total and several props to build an SGP for the Bucs vs. Eagles matchup on Thursday, which comes out to +666 at FanDuel:
- Browns Win By 1-13 Points
- Melvin Gordon Over 43.5 Rushing Yards
- Under 48.5 Points (Alternate Total)
With all the injuries to the Browns, it makes sense that people would lean toward the under of 42.5 points. We’ve done the same thing, except we grabbed a few key numbers in case Baker Mayfield is able to do more than we think despite having a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder.
The Broncos’ backfield is a timeshare between Gordon and Javonte Williams, but Gordon has surpassed this mark four times in six games and we think he does it again on Thursday.
The truth is, we wanted to take the Broncos to win by 1 to 14 points on FanDuel (+200) with the under and Gordon’s prop, but the odds only came out to +567. But when you add Cleveland to win by 1 to 13 (+140), the odds manage to jump to +666. Even with all of the question marks, we’ll take the better line with the team that is the three-point favorite.
NFL Week 7 Parlays | Betting The Favorites
One consistently popular NFL parlay strategy is to link several favorable lines into the same bet. The goal is to build a safer wager while enhancing the payout, even though the odds aren’t astronomical like we see with some parlays.
This could include alternate spreads and totals, or moneylines for larger favorites. This week, we’re getting +193 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for the following:
- Browns/Broncos Under 48.5
- Baltimore Ravens ML
- Los Angeles Rams -9.5
There are 17 MPH winds expected for Thursday Night Football and we’re confident this game entails plenty of clock running while the ball is put on the ground, and we feel good with under 48.5
The Ravens are rolling and playing a third straight home game before the bye against Cincinnati. The Bengals are improved but may have an inflated record right now and its defense could be exposed a little bit by Lamar Jackson while the offense just isn’t able to score enough.
The Rams are giving away about 15 or more points at most sites. This is pretty simple: we think Los Angeles probably destroys the Lions, but we aren’t giving more than two touchdowns. We’ve gotten this below 10 points and it feels more manageable.
