MLB DFS DraftKings.com & FanDuel.com Lineups & Picks for June 15, 2018

Baseball is rolling with a good slate of MLB DFS games scheduled for 6/15/18. The main slate on DraftKings includes 15 games starting at 7:05 p.m. EST, and FanDuel’s main slate also includes 15 games starting at the same time.

For today, we’re listing our picks for MLB DFS pitchers, hitters, and stacks to target in Cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. The info below can also be used for crafting your daily fantasy baseball strategy at FantasyDraft.

Please note the advice below is relevant for daily fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, and lots of other factors. This is important to consider when constructing a roster. Remember that more than in other sports, variance is a huge part of baseball. Even Jose Altuve can go 0-for-4 on a given night, and Max Scherzer can get lit up by a weak team.

Weather can also play a huge role in MLB DFS on a nightly basis, and lineups are constantly shifting. So always, always check the starting lineups and weather reports when playing for an MLB slate. If a game gets rained out, your player gets zero points!

Best MLB DFS Pitchers for June 15, 2018

Corey Kluber vs. MIN ($13.6k DraftKings, $12.0k FanDuel)

Corey Kluber stands alone as the top SP on tonight’s full slate with a floor-ceiling combination that far exceeds his competitors. The Cleveland ace is somehow topping his incredible 2017 campaign with a 1.99 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and 2.77 SIERA this season. His strikeout numbers are down, but he’s been even more dominant at home with a 14.25 K/BB ratio and 2.09 xFIP. Kluber has posted a 2.53 ERA and 10.65 K/9 ratio over his last 10 starts against the Twins, and Minnesota is hitting a collective .235 with a 22.3% K-Rate over the last month. He’s a good bet to meet or exceed his projection of 27.8 DK points tonight, according to models on RotoQL.

Gio Gonzalez @ TOR ($8.8k DraftKings, $9.2k FanDuel)

The once-dangerous Blue Jays lineup has become one of the least threatening in the Majors, and having elite RHB Josh Donaldson (calf) on the DL certainly isn’t helping Toronto produce. Gio Gonazlez is more than capable of baffling that shorthanded lineup, as the lefty boasts a 9.04 K/9 ratio, 3.24 FIP and 51% ground ball rate this season. Toronto ranks dead last among A.L. teams with a collective .221 batting average.296 OBP when facing lefties, while the Blue Jays are posting a 22% K-Rate against the platoon as well. Gio is able to change speeds and use deception to keep hitters off balance, a task that’s much easier when facing an inter-league foe for the first time.

Tyler Skaggs @ OAK ($9.3k DraftKings, $8.9k FanDuel)

Another crafty lefty with the ability to keep hitters off balance, Tyler Skaggs seems like an even safer play than Gio Gonzalez for Cash games tonight. He’s cruised through his past two starts with 14 Ks, 4 walks, 9 hits and just 1 ER allowed, and faces an Athletics lineup that is only hitting .232 with a .297 wOBA and 23.9% K-Rate when facing lefties this year. Skaggs blanked the A’s over 6.2 strong IP in his 2018 debut and is 4-1 with a 2.66 ERA and 9.07 K/9 ratio and 4.10 K/BB ratio on the road this season.

Zack Godley vs. NYM ($8.1k DraftKings, $7.2k FanDuel)

He’s gone through some notable ups and downs this season, but Zack Godley proved he has the talent to pitch well anywhere with 8 Ks and just 2 ER allowed in a start at Coors Field last Sunday. Now, he’ll face arguably the worst offense in baseball over the last month, as the Mets have scored the fewest runs (86) in the N.L. with a measly .284 wOBA during that span. Godley is holding LHBs to a 17% line drive rate and relatively modest 1.07 HR/9 ratio this year, so if he can keep them in the yard, he should be able to navigate the Mets lefty-heavy lineup at home.

Other pitchers to consider: Charlie Morton, James Paxton, Ross Stripling, Jon Lester, Reynaldo Lopez, Jonathan Loaisiga

Best MLB DFS Hitters for June 15, 2018

Nolan Arenado @ TEX ($4.9k DraftKings, $4.6k FanDuel)

The Rangers are starting an inexperienced 23-year-old lefty from Venezuela named Yohander Mendez, which puts Nolan Arenado squarely in play as one of the top overall options tonight regardless of price. The slugging third baseman is hitting .410 with a 1.213 OPS and 50% hard contact rate on the road against southpaws after posting similar eye-popping numbers against the platoon last season. Mendez gave up 10 HRs and walked 23 batters while going 0-6 over 51 IP at the AAA level this season, so he seems a bit unprepared to face one of the toughest lineups in the National League. Arenado is a bit underpriced on DraftKings tonight and should make the most of his opportunities in this plus matchup.

Juan Soto vs. TOR ($4.4k DraftKings, $3.8k FanDuel)

Not even 20 years old yet, Juan Soto continued to impress with a two-homer performance at Yankee Stadium Wednesday. He should be in the Nationals lineup tonight against RHP Aaron Sanchez, who is allowing LHBs to hit .306 with a .406 wOBA thanks to an awful 8.68 BB/9 ratio when facing the platoon. Soto has shown patience beyond his years with a higher BB Rate (15.8%) than K-Rate (14.5%) thus far, and he has the wheels to burn Sanchez on the base paths, justifying his projection for 9.3 DK points on RotoQL tonight.

J.T. Realmuto @ BAL ($4.3k DraftKings, $3.6k FanDuel)

The Marlins best bet for a home run tonight likely comes from their prolific backstop, who is even worth a look on FanDuel as a mid-tier C/1B option with upside. J.T. Realmuto is hitting .324 with a .401 wOBA in RvR matchups this year, and Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman is coughing up a 2.16 HR/9 ratio and 36.5% hard contact rate when facing righties. Camden Yards is certainly a favorable place to hit, and Realmuto was 6-for-12 with a double and HR over three appearances before getting the day off Thursday.

Ian Kinsler @ OAK ($3.8k DraftKings, $3.3k FanDuel)

Athletics slender RHP Chris Bassitt performed well in his 2018 debut but could be due for a considerable backslide against the Angels’ elite offense. He posted a 6.10 ERA with a .310 BAA and .405 BABIP over 10 appearances in AAA this season and allowed a 50% hard contact rate in Saturday’s outing against struggling Kansas City. Ian Kinsler is an economical addition to an Angels stack while heavy hitters Mike Trout and Justin Upton are worth a gamble in GPP formats. Kinsler is only hitting .220 but found his power stroke while homering in three consecutive games last weekend. That’s part of the reason he has a solid projection of 7.7 DK points on RotoQL tonight.

Other hitters to consider: Mike Trout, Ozzie Albies, George Springer, Anthony Rizzo, Denard Span, Matt Kemp, Brandon Nimmo, Starlin Castro, DJ LeMahieu, Josh Harrison, Derek Dietrich, Jon Jay
