MLB DFS DraftKings.com & FanDuel.com Lineups & Picks for June 13, 2018

There are nine games on the main MLB DFS slate for Wednesday, 6/13/18. Below is a list of our top MLB DFS picks for pitchers, hitters, and stacks to target in Cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. The info below can also be used for creating your daily fantasy baseball strategy at FantasyDraft.

Please note the advice below is relevant for daily fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, and lots of other factors. This is important to consider when constructing a roster. Remember that more than in other sports, variance is a huge part of baseball. Even Mike Trout can go 0-for-4 on a given night, and Max Scherzer can get lit up by an unsuspecting team.

Weather can also play a huge role in MLB DFS on a nightly basis, and lineups are constantly shifting. So always, always check the starting lineups and weather reports when playing an MLB slate.

Best MLB DFS Pitchers for June 13, 2018

Trevor Bauer @ CWS ($11.5 DK / $10.2 FD)

Trevor Bauer’s 11.41 K/9 is the fifth highest among qualified arms, and the White Sox’s 25.3% strikeout rate is the fourth highest in baseball. Bauer also has a 30.3% strikeout rate, which ranks in the top 10 among starters. He’s representing a solid 2.62 ERA. Bauer has also hit the double-digit strikeout mark in four of his last five outings.

Gerrit Cole @ OAK ($13.2 DK / $11.8 FD)

I definitely understand fading Gerrit Cole in a couple lineups because of his price, and the Athletics do fairly well against right-handed pitchers. But he’s a strong Cash play if you can find a way to get him in. Cole’s 12.73 K/9 and 37.8 strikeout percentage ranks second. He also has 21 strikeouts in 12.2 innings against Oakland this season. Cole has allowed 10 hits and four runs in those outings.

Luke Weaver vs. SD ($7.7 DK / $6.7 FD)

Luke Weaver probably won’t be thought of this evening as he’s coming off a five-walk and four-run outing against the Reds. But he’s had some solid starts this season, and he’s affordable in a plus matchup. Weaver has allowed two or fewer runs in four of his last six starts, including a scoreless outing against the Padres where he only allowed four hits over five innings. The Cardinals pitcher has had five rough outings this season, but it’s been three or fewer in his other eight starts. San Diego’s .293 wOBA ranks 28th, and they have the third highest strikeout rate (25.5%).

Others to consider: Jose Berrios, Kenta Maeda

Best MLB DFS Hitters for June 13, 2018

Matt Kemp vs. TEX ($4.3 DK / $3.8 FD)

Cole Hamels’ 17 home runs allowed this season are the second most in baseball. He’s surrendered eight in his last four starts (two in each). Hamels has given up at least two bombs in seven outings and at least one in 10 of his 13 starts. Max Muncy has a home run in four straight games, and Matt Kemp has four homers with seven doubles against lefties. He’s also hitting .354 against LHP with a .435 wOBA.

Marcell Ozuna vs. SD ($4.0 DK / $3.9 FD)

The Cardinals are showing up as a great stack on RotoQL. Eric Lauer enters with a 6.64 ERA, 5.49 BB/9, 41.1 hard hit rate, 85.0 contact percentage, and he’s allowed seven home runs over 39.1 innings. Marcell Ozuna has been red hot after a slow start to the season. He has hits in 10 of his last 11 games and five multi-game hits over that span with three home runs and 12 RBI.

Evan Longoria @ MIA ($3.6 DK / $2.8 FD)

Evan Longoria is hitting .301 against lefties with a .381 wOBA. His six homers against LHPs are the fourth most, and he has 11 extra base hits. Caleb Smith has a solid strikeout rate, but he’s walking 4.11 per nine innings with a 49.4 fly ball rate and 37.7 hard hit rate.

Whit Merrifield vs. CIN ($3.8 DK / $3.2 FD)

Tyler Mahle’s 40.6 hard hit rate is the 10th highest among qualified arms, and he’s given up 13 home runs on the year. Whit Merrifield has the fourth highest projected total at 2B on DraftKings, according to RotoQL, and he’s the eighth most expensive at the position.

Others to consider: Yadier Molina, Salvador Perez, Jose Martinez, Cody Bellinger, Scooter Gennett, Justin Turner, Mike Moustakas, Chris Taylor, Brandon Crawford, Max Kepler, Brett Anderson
