At the end of game day, every point counts. The college football daily fantasy value picks below may not be the best players; in some cases they may not even be the second best player, but they might just give you an edge on Saturday and for a good price point too! These are the players to throw in when you only have a few thousand fantasy dollars left and are looking to fill a position with a player that still has upside. All prices are shown using FanDuel prices and whether it is an early or late matchup is indicated. Below are 6 of this week’s players that have been playing well, have a desirable match-up this week and that I believe are worth consideration for those final slots on your team
Ray Lawry – RB – Old Dominion $5,600 (Early)
Since Lawry has been named the starter 2 weeks ago he has 248 yards on 29 rushes and 3 touchdowns. He is averaging almost 9 yards per carry over that time. This week he matches up against a very poor rush defense in Western Kentucky giving up over 250 yards per game. Look for Lawry to stay on the same path since becoming the starter and put up some big points this week.
Josh Doctson – WR – TCU $5,800 (Early)
Doctson has been the number 1 wide receiver all season in receptions for the Horned Frogs but last week he went off on the score sheet posting 225 yards and 2 touchdowns. The question is will lighting strike twice against a Texas Tech defense that is in the middle of the pack in the country. I think it does and Doctson puts up some big numbers at home this Saturday.
Maxx Williams – TE – Minnesota $3,800 (Early)
These days Williams appears to be the only viable passing option for Minnesota. Minnesota loves to run the ball and they will most of the time in this game; but when they throw; they throw the ball to Maxx. Williams has 4 of the teams 6 receiving touchdowns this season. Look for Williams to get another red zone touchdown and around 50 yards this Saturday.
Shaun Wick – RB – Wyoming $6,400 (Late)
Wick has been the focal point of the Cowboys rushing game this year accounting for 111 carries and 708 yards on the season. Wick has averaged 16 carries per game this season gaining 100 yards 5 of his 7 games. He has scored a touchdown in the last 4 games and averaged 114 yards per game over that time frame. He has also got involved in the passing game the last 2 weeks having a combined 7 catches over that frame. If Wyoming can hang with Colorado for the length of this game I expect Wick to get close to 20 carries adding at least 100 yards and minimum of 1 touchdown.
Richy Turner – WR – Nevada $5,700 (Late)
Turner has looked great the last 2 weeks hauling in 9 receptions per game and one touchdown in each contest. He is a little behind in the yards category however this week Jerico Richardson is questionable who is number 2 in yards receiving on the team. If Richardson does not play look for Turner to get even more looks this week. He should finish with close to 10 receptions, 100 yards, and 1 touchdown on the day.
Nick Vannett – TE – Ohio State $3,500 (Late)
Vannett has really taken a step forward the last 2 weeks. He has only caught 4 passes but 3 of those catches have gone for touchdowns. No tight end is a slam dunk but when they are looking for this guy in the redzone like they have been he is a good bet to add at least 1 more touchdown this weekend.
