MLB DFS DraftKings.com & FanDuel.com Lineups & Picks for April 11, 2018

Seven games on the main MLB DFS slate for Wednesday, 4/11/18. Below is a list of our top MLB DFS picks for pitchers, hitters, and stacks to target in Cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. The info below can also be used for creating your daily fantasy baseball strategy at FantasyDraft.

Please note the advice below is relevant for daily fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, and lots of other factors. This is important to consider when constructing a roster. Remember that more than in other sports, variance is a huge part of baseball. Even Paul Goldschmidt can go 0-for-4 on a given night, and Max Scherzer can get lit up by an unsuspecting team.

Weather can also play a huge role in MLB DFS on a nightly basis, and lineups are constantly shifting. So always, always check the starting lineups and weather reports when playing for an MLB slate.

Best MLB DFS Pitchers for April 11, 2018

Jon Lester vs. PIT ($8.6 DK / $9.1 FD)

The Pittsburgh Pirates are rolling right now, but they struggled against left-handed pitching last season. Their .307 wOBA ranked 24th, their .244 average ranked 23rd, and their 39 home runs were the fifth fewest. A reminder that Andrew McCutchen and his .336 average and 11 home runs off lefties are gone from that lineup. This season, Pittsburgh has the lowest strikeout rate (15%) in baseball, and they have the lowest k-rate (13.3%) against righties. It doubles against southpaws (26.7%). You’ll save some cash with Jon Lester on DraftKings, and you’ll save with David Price on FanDuel. They have the highest ceilings.

Marco Estrada @ BAL ($8.5 DK / $8.1 FD)

Baltimore enters tonight with the third worst team average (.208) and the highest strikeout rate (27.1%). Aaron Sanchez took a no-hitter into the eighth against them last night, and if it wasn’t for a bad hop on Josh Donaldson he may have got the job done. Marco Estrada started against Baltimore five times last season and he racked up 35 strikeouts over his 30.2 innings (including a 12K performance). It’s a very similar lineup, and one that is struggling at the moment. If Estrada can limit the big home run you’ll be laughing.

Others to consider: Alex Wood, Zack Wheeler, Luis Castillo

Best MLB DFS hitters for April 11, 2018

Javier Baez vs. PIT ($3.0 DK / $2.7 FD)

Javier Baez hit his first two home runs of the season last night, and draws a nice matchup with lefty Steven Brault on the hill. Brault has shown to be a high contact pitcher over his 76 career innings, and he’s struggled with command as he has a 4.26 BB/9 over that span. The Cubs were strong against LHP pitching last season as was Baez who had nine home runs and a .378 wOBA. Beaz currently has a 45.5% hard hit rate which ranks 25th.

Adrian Beltre vs. LAA ($3.2 DK / $3.2 FD)

There’s a bit of a discount here on both sites with Adrian Beltre going up against Jaime Barria who is making his first career start. Barria had a fly ball percentage over 50 across three levels of minor league ball last season (141.2 IP). He allowed four home runs during 9.1 spring innings. Beltre is getting good wood on the ball so far this year, posting a 38.2% hard hit rate.

Andrelton Simmons @ TEX ($3.5 DK / $3.3 FD)

The Angels lead baseball in runs, home runs, RBI and batting average. Without question, they are one of the better stacks tonight against Matt Moore who has allowed 53 home runs over the last two season, including one this year. Over 7.1 innings, Moore has allowed 12 hits and nine earned runs. His 81.7 contact percentage last season and 41.9 FB% were on the wrong side of top 10. 1-through-4 is certainly in play for the Halos, but Andrelton Simmons leads MLB in hits and he’s second in runs scored. He’s picked up a hit in every game but one, does not strike out (3.8%), and showed some pop last season. The Angels’ shortstop hit his first HR last night, and moved up to 5th in the order. It’s contact vs. contact tonight with Moore and Simmons.

Giancarlo Stanton @ BOS ($4.5 DK / $4.5 FD)

19 of Giancarlo Stanton’s 22 strikeouts this season have come against right-handed pitching. He has four hits in 10 at-bats against lefties and two of those hits went for home runs. His 15 homers off LHP last season were second to only Nolan Arenado. David Price has looked fine in his two starts, but they came against Tampa Bay. Price allowed 30 homers in 2016 (his last full season), and the thought of Stanton at a low ownership is exciting.

Curtis Granderson @ BAL ($3.4 DK / $2.8 FD)

Curtis Granderson is one of those players you don’t want to own in season-long leagues, but in daily he’s acceptable. Especially when he’s hitting leadoff which he has over his last two games. Granderson has three runs, two RBI and a homer in those two contests. That’s what Granderson does, he hits home runs (26 plus over the last three years). Lucky for him, Kevin Gausman also likes home runs (57 allowed over the last two seasons). Gausman has already given up 12 hits (three home runs) and eight earned runs over nine innings.

Others to consider: Albert Pujols, Joey Gallo, Yangervis Solarte, Kris Bryant, Jay Bruce, Nomar Mazara, Chris Young (if he plays), Willson Contreras
