Best NHL DFS Picks for January 2, 2018
NHL DFS Centers
William Karlsson vs. NSH (5.8k DraftKings, 5.6k FanDuel)
William Karlsson was just named the second star of the week after tallying a hat trick last game against the Maple Leafs. Karlsson’s recorded 20 goals this year, and 12 of them have been in front of Vegas faithful. The Swede has been dominant on special teams, potting three goals on the PP and two when Vegas is shorthanded. He’s been on fire and is a must-have in your DFS lineup. Ride the hot hand.
Eric Staal vs. FLA (6.3k DraftKings, 6.5k FanDuel)
The Minnesota Wild and Eric Staal square off well with the Panthers. The Panthers are allowing 3.13 goals a contest, and Staal leads the Wild with 15 goals. He’s sniped three with the man advantage. Staal’s also produced two shorthanded goals and one assist this season.
Yanni Gourde vs. TOR (4k DraftKings, 4.1k FanDuel)
The Lightning facing the Maple Leafs is probably the matchup of the night, and Yanni Gourde could be a great lineup addition. He’s a third-line center, but he’s contributed 11 goals and 14 assists this season. The 26-year-old has produced one goal, one assist, and nine shots in the last five games. Further, Gourde’s collected three goals on the power play and tallied one shorthanded goal and one helper this season. Tampa Bay is also leading the league in goals per game at 3.74.

Josh Bailey vs. BOS (6.9k DraftKings, 7k FanDuel)
Expensive adds can hurt your wallet, but Josh Bailey is worth it on this slate. Bailey leads the Islanders’ talented roster with 50 points (12 goals, 38 assists). The 28-year-old is a great pick for tonight; he’s on an 11-game point streak and has seven goals in that span. He’s been an incredible quarterback on the power play, tallying 18 helpers when the Islanders have the man advantage.
Wayne Simmonds @ PIT (5.2k DraftKings, 5.3k FanDuel)
The Flyers are back on track, and Wayne Simmonds has been a big part of the turnaround. He’s potted 12 goals and dished out 11 helpers on the year. Simmonds scored and assisted on a goal last game. Plus, the Flyers’ winger has produced six goals and four assists on the PP. He’s also been great in the clutch, tallying four game-winning goals this year.
Josh Anderson @ DAL (5.8k DraftKings, 5.2k FanDuel)
Josh Anderson gets the chance to play on the first line, and he’s tallied one goal and two assists in the last two contests.
