Best NHL DFS Picks for December 27, 2017
NHL DFS Centers
Nathan MacKinnon @ ARI (7.3k DraftKings, 7.6k FanDuel)
The Coyotes allow the NHL’s second-most goals per game at 3.47. Nathan MacKinnon should be ready to feast on Arizona’s poor defense. He’s tallied four goals and three assists in the last five games. MacKinnon’s been on fire in the month of December, tallying seven goals and five helpers in the last 12 games. The Avalanche center has recorded eight goals and six assists when Colorado has the man advantage. He’s also fired 109 shots on net this year.
Adam Lowry vs. EDM (3.2k DraftKings, 3.6k FanDuel)
Adam Lowry is a great pick for tonight because he’ll be a cheap add to your lineup and has collected four points in the last five contests. He’s potted three goals in three out of the last four games, good for seven on the season. Lowry’s recorded two goals and two assists the MTS Centre, and the Oilers struggle on defense, averaging just over three goals a game this year.
Evgeni Malkin vs. CBJ (6.7k DraftKings, 8.3k FanDuel)
The Penguins are loaded up the middle, but Evgeni Malkin will be a great addition to your lineup. Malkin scored last time the Penguins matched up with the Blue Jackets and has collected 12 goals this season. The Russian center has put one past the goaltender in three out of the last four contests. Malkin is on the first power play unit and has tallied six goals and eight helpers on the PP. The Penguins were shut out last game, so expect a bounce-back performance tonight.

NHL DFS Wingers
Jordan Eberle vs. BUF (5.3k DraftKings, 5.5k FanDuel)
Both the Islanders and the Sabres give up a ton of goals, so this should be a high-scoring affair at the Barclays Center. The Sabres surrender 3.26 goals a contest, while the Islanders give up 3.46. Eberle is on fire, collecting points in four straight games, plus four assists. Last game against the Sabres, he tallied one helper. He’s sniped 13 goals this year, two on the power play. Finally, he’s potted four game-winning goals this season.
Remi Elie @ MIN (3.2k DraftKings, 3.4k FanDuel)
Remi Elie isn’t a household name, but he’ll be a very cheap and promising add for your DFS lineup. He’s on the first line now and should have plenty of opportunities to collect some points. Elie has recorded four goals and three assists this yea, including one game-winner. The 22-year-old has fired three past the netminder on the road while collecting one helper.
Craig Smith @ STL (5.2k DraftKings, 4.6k FanDuel)
The Nashville Predators are dynamic in many areas, and Craig Smith is a solid piece for Smashville. He’s on the second line, but Smith is on the first-team power play unit and makes the most of his opportunities. Smith has tallied five goals and three helpers on the PP. The Wisconsin native has recorded 12 goals and 10 assists so far this season. He’s a low-risk add with potential for a massive game. And when he’s hot, he’s hot — the 28-year-old has logged five multi-point games.

NHL DFS Defensemen
Torey Krug vs. OTT (5.3k DraftKings, 5.6k FanDuel)
Torey Krug is a great pick for tonight because he’s potted two goals in the last four games and is awesome at home. He has sniped four of his six goals at the TD Garden while dishing 10 assists in front of the home crowd. Good in the clutch, he’s tallied one goal and two helpers on the power play and has two game-winning goals to his name. Krug’s fired 16 shots on net in the last five games and while blocking 12 shots in that time.
Jeff Petry @ CAR (4.2k DraftKings, 3.9k FanDuel)
Shea Weber is out for the Canadiens, so they’ll need people to step up. Jeff Petry is that man. He fired 10 shots on net last game and has peppered the opposing netminder with 16 in the last five contests. Petry is on the first-team power play unit now that Weber is out. He has collected four goals and nine assists so far this season, and he’ll be an extremely cheap addition to your lineup.
Dmitry Orlov @ NYR (3.7k DraftKings, 3.8k FanDuel)
Dmitry Orlov is on first d-line and gets some time on the second power play unit. Orlov recorded an assist the last time the Capitals squared off against the New York Rangers. He’s tallied four goals and eight assists this season. He’s fired nine shots on net in the last five games while blocking 10 shots. Orlov’s fired 68 shots on net while blocking 52 this year.
Others to consider: Kris Letang, Nick Leddy, Matt Dumba
NHL DFS Goalies
Tuukka Rask vs. BOS (8.4k DraftKings, 8.4k FanDuel)
The Senators have struggled this season, and Tuukkaa Rask’s been great lately for the Bruins. He’s 4-1 in the last five games and hasn’t given up more than two goals in those contests. The Finnish goaltender has posted 11 wins while recording a 2.28 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. At home, Rask is 9-4 with a 2.12 GAA.
Marc-Andre Fleury @ ANA (7.9K DraftKings, 7.9k FanDuel)
Marc-Andre Fleury’s been a huge part of the Vegas Golden Knight’s success. He recorded a shutout last game and is 3-0 in his last three contests. The Stanley Cup champ is 6-1-1 this year with a 1.92 goals against average. Fleury’s 2-0 on the road with a 0.98 GAA, and he’s a must-have in your lineup tonight.
