Best Week 16 NFL DFS Stack Picks on FanDuel
Cam Newton/Devin Funchess/Christian McCaffrey vs. TB ($8.3k, $7.0k and $7.3k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
Cam Newton will certainly be a popular play after finishing as the QB1 in a plus matchup against Green Bay last week. That’s especially true in another plum spot against Tampa. The Bucs give up the most passing YPG (278.6) in the NFL this season. Yet stacking Cam with Devin Funchess could be a contrarian play after Greg Olsen ($6.6k) and Damiere Byrd ($5.1k) combined for most of the receiving production last week. Funchess is still the top receiver. Plus, Tampa has given up the second-most FPPG along with the fifth-most receiving YPG (177.5) to opposing WRs over the last month. Christian McCaffrey is a fantastic play as one of the best receiving backs in the game. He’s worth pairing with Newton in any format.

Philip Rivers/Keenan Allen @ NYJ ($8.1k and $8.3k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
Keenan Allen is a top WR worth deploying in any format. Pairing him with QB Philip Rivers is a strategy that could certainly pay off in tournaments after both player’s saw their production drop last week against a highly motivated Chiefs team. Now, they face a weak Jets secondary that ranks dead last in passing DVOA against opposing top WRs and has given up the second-most passing TDs (27) in the NFL this year. Top Jets CB Morris Claiborne does not match up well against the ultra-quick Allen, who is reportedly practicing in full after dealing with a back injury in a quiet performance at Arrowhead last week.
Blake Bortles/Dede Westbrook/Keelan Cole @ SF ($7.6k, $5.9k and $5.3k FanDuel) – GPP
The Jaguars have turned to a more pass-heavy approach with Leonard Fournette (knee, ankle) banged up. They might surprise the masses by continuing to show that balance despite Fournette’s expected return in Week 16. The 49ers rank 31st in passing DVOA and 30th against opposing slot receivers. Therefore, Keelan Cole has a chance to keep rolling after catching 7-of-9 targets for 186 yards and a TD last week. With Blake Bortles coming in hot, Dede Westbrook is another value to consider, especially in GPP formats after he fizzled in a plus matchup against Houston last week. Westbrook should operate as the top WR, and Cole will remain a high-usage player with Marqise Lee (ankle) ruled out and Allen Hurns (ankle) iffy to play.
Kirk Cousins/Vernon Davis/Kapri Bibbs vs. DEN ($7.3k/$6.0k and $5.0k FanDuel) – GPP
The Broncos have been surprisingly vulnerable through the air this year. They’ve given up the fourth-most passing TDs (26). Most of that production has come over the middle of the field to TEs and RBs. Washington incorporated Kapri Bibbs ($5.0k) as their preferred passing-down back last week. He caught all four targets for 47 yards and a TD while playing on 30.2 percent of offensive snaps. He’s worth a look in tournaments along with Vernon Davis, who has been very quiet over the last five weeks. That said, he could find openings against a Denver team that ranks 26th in TE DVOA.

Todd Gurley/Rams D/ST @ TEN ($9.1k and $4.6k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
This stack produced monstrous returns in Seattle last week. And that was against a red-hot QB in Russell Wilson in an atmosphere that’s notoriously tough on opposing offenses. If neither of those factors fazed the streaking Rams, it’s hard to imagine a hobbled Marcus Mariota (knee) giving that elite front seven trouble. The Rams D/ST is probably the best per-dollar option on the board after logging seven sacks last week. Plus, Todd Gurley is the best overall RB play since Le’Veon Bell is not featured on the main slate.
Harrison Butker/Chiefs D/ST vs. MIA ($4.9k, $4.5k FanDuel) – GPP
The Chiefs’ offense has been pretty inconsistent this season. And their defense has been downright mercurial, so it’s hard to trust this stack in Cash games. Yet Kansas City’s been great over its last two home games, throttling two divisional rivals while compiling five sacks, forcing seven turnovers and allowing just 28 points. Now, they’ll face a turnover-prone QB in Jay Cutler and a Dolphins defense that can stop the run. Yet it’s vulnerable against the pass, so we could see Alex Smith move the ball into scoring position before stalling out in the red zone as he does so often. This would set up Harrison Butker for several FG attempts.
