Let’s talk a little more strategy. As with any daily fantasy sport, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, gameflow, and various other factors. This is important to remember when drafting a roster at any daily fantasy sports site.

Best Week 15 NFL DFS Draftboard.com Plays & Picks

Quarterbacks

Top Play

Russell Wilson vs. LAR ($8.9k)
In Russell Wilson we trust, at least in Cash games. The Seahawks’ MVP candidate is consistently filling the box score thanks to their lack of a rushing attack. Even while throwing three interceptions last Sunday, Wilson tossed multiple touchdowns in an eighth consecutive outing. Plus, he rushed for 50 yards on top of his high-volume role as a passer. He struggled in Los Angeles against the Rams prior to Seattle’s Week 6 bye but has been on fire ever since. He should feel right at home with light rain expected in Seattle this Sunday.

Upside GPP Play

Kirk Cousins vs. ARI ($8.7k)
He’s coming off a couple of down games, which makes Kirk Cousins an even more appealing tournament play. He should see low ownership in a perceived tough matchup. The Cardinals’ pass defense has been up and down, and Washington has something of an amorphous passing attack with Jamison Crowder leading the way out of the slot. Cardinals RCB Tramon Williams and slot man Justin Bethel are below average, plus Cousins has been far more effective at home throughout his career. Arizona’s also given up the most rushing TDs in the NFL to opposing QBs this season. Cousins has three rushing scores this year.

Value Play

Nick Foles @ NYG ($5.7k)
Cheap across the DFS industry as he takes over for the injured Carson Wentz (knee), Nick Foles draws a cake matchup off the bat. The Giants might be on the verge of quitting at the end of this lost season. The G-Men have given up the fifth-most FPPG to opposing WRs over the last five weeks and struggled against opposing TEs all year. With a full week of practice reps under his belt, Foles should look competent while distributing to Philadelphia’s many weapons.

Running Backs

Top Play

Todd Gurley @ SEA ($8.7k)
Just as Russell Wilson is carrying the Seahawks’ offense, Todd Gurley is doing the same for the Rams. He’s averaging 140 YFS over his last three appearances. He’ll face an injury-depleted Seahawks defense this week, which could be without critical linebackers Bobby Wagner (hamstring) and K.J. Wright (concussion). The fact that Seattle virtually shut Gurley down back in Week 5 will almost certainly lower his ownership rate, but he could potentially finish as the top overall scorer in DraftBoard contests.

Upside GPP Play

Mark Ingram vs. NYJ ($7.3k)
Throughout most of the season, Alvin Kamara has flashed more big-play ability than Mark Ingram. Yet this could be a straightforward win for the Saints against an overmatched Jets team. New Orleans (-15) is the biggest favorite on the Week 15 slate, and Ingram is the hammer that will finish drives. He could also milk clock down the stretch with his team likely playing from ahead.

Value Play

Kenyan Drake @ BUF ($6.4k)
Kenyan Drake is coming off consecutive massive games against the Broncos and Patriots. Now, he faces a fully dysfunctional team in the Bills. Buffalo ranks 24th in rushing DVOA and gives up the most FPPG (28.47) to opposing RBs this season. The forecast doesn’t indicate another blizzard in Buffalo this Sunday, which should help all offensive players. Drake is handling a monstrous workload with Damien Williams (shoulder) on the shelf.

Wide Receivers

Top Play

Antonio Brown vs. NE ($8.8k)
As much as Bill Belichick and his coaching staff will try, you simply can’t stop Antonio Brown right now. You can only hope to contain him. He runs such a diverse tree of routes and has the best ball skills in the business. Meanwhile, the Pats’ secondary continued to regress with CB Malcolm Butler getting torched by the Dolphins’ uninspiring receivers last Monday night. This game has a close line — the Patriots (-2.5) — and the highest over/under (53.5 points) of the slate.

Upside GPP Play

Devin Funchess vs. GB ($6.0k)
Despite dealing with a couple of nagging injuries and coverage from Vikings elite CB Xavier Rhodes last week, Devin Funchess continued to step up as the Panthers top WR with 59 receiving yards and a TD. He’s produced double-digit FPs in five consecutive games and is clearly the top option for Cam Newton with Kelvin Benjamin traded and Greg Olsen (foot) not yet up to speed. This week, a Newton-Funchess stack makes a lot of sense against a struggling Packers secondary. Green Bay ranks 31st in DVOA against the opposition’s top target.

Value Play

Jordy Nelson @ CAR ($4.2k)
Some DFS sites have made a proper adjustment to Jordy Nelson’s price tag now that Aaron Rodgers is expected to start. Yet DraftBoard has left him in the bargain bin. At this price tag, the stud WR will have an easy time meeting value. He could wind up flashing his usual upside that we’ve seen when he’s on the same page as his elite QB.

Tight Ends

Top Play

Rob Gronkowski @ PIT ($6.5k)
This is a generous price point for Rob Gronkowski as he returns from a one-game suspension in a plus matchup. The Steelers are reeling defensively and sadly will be without their best coverage LB in Ryan Shazier. Gronk has recorded five TDs over his last three appearances against Pittsburgh and is clearly a big-game player. He’s capable of stepping up to help revive the Patriots’ offense after a poor showing last Monday.

Upside GPP Play

Kyle Rudolph vs. CIN ($4.0k)
He’s been something of a touchdown-catching machine lately with four scores over his last three appearances. That clearly gives Kyle Rudolph tournament appeal at this price tag. He’ll face a Bengals team that ranks 28th in TE DVOA and certainly felt the absence of Vontaze Burfict (neck) last week. They got torched by the anemic Bears offense. Case Keenum is playing very well for Minnesota, developing a great rapport with Rudolph in the red zone.

Value Play

Charles Clay vs. MIA ($3.6k)
The Dolphins essentially treated last Monday’s game as their Super Bowl. They’re due for a let down as they travel to chilly Buffalo for a much less meaningful game. Tyrod Taylor (knee) is expected to start this week, raising the upside of Charles Clay, who could serve as the default top receiving option if Kelvin Benjamin (knee) can’t go. He’s been quiet since returning from injury in Week 10 but has established a decent floor. Clay’s rapport with Taylor gives him a chance to break out again.
