As with any DFS, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, gameflow, and more factors. This is important when constructing a roster on any of the daily fantasy sites.
By this time in the season, weather plays a key factor in NFL games, so make sure to check the forecast for each Sunday.

Best Week 15 NFL DFS Quarterbacks on FanDuel
Tom Brady @ PIT ($8.8k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
Rumors of Tom Brady’s demise have been greatly and prematurely exaggerated following the Patriots’ surprising 27-20 loss in Miami on Monday night. He’ll be on the road in a hostile environment this week, but it’s a huge game with playoff implications against Pittsburgh. You’d be a fool to bet against TB12 under those circumstances. Pittsburgh’s defense has steadily declined with injuries to key players in CB Joe Haden (may play this week) and LB Ryan Shazier. Brady will get Rob Gronkowski back to provide a huge presence in the middle of the field and in the red zone.
Aaron Rodgers @ CAR ($8.5k FanDuel) – GPP
He’s yet to be officially cleared to return, but Aaron Rodgers has reportedly looked fantastic in practice. You can bet the annual MVP candidate is champing at the bit to help his 7-6 Packers sneak into the playoffs. Even with some rust on his arm in a tough matchup at Carolina, you can deploy the most talented QB in the game today at a somewhat diminished price tag.
Cam Newton vs. GB ($7.9k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
Cam Newton has established a very solid floor due in part to his rushing ability. He’ll have plenty of upside if he’s starting opposite Aaron Rodgers at home this Sunday. The Packers rank 21st in passing DVOA and give up the seventh-most passing YPG (256.69) this season. For his part, Newton can clearly beat teams with his arm or legs.
Nick Foles @ NYG ($6.0k FanDuel) – GPP
While he’s obviously not as talented as Carson Wentz, Nick Foles steps into a very favorable situation at the helm of one of the best teams in the NFL. He’s a great value option ahead of a matchup against the listless Giants. New York crumbled down the stretch last week and will likely begin packing it in for the offseason under interim HC Steve Spagnuolo. The G-Men rank 23rd in passing DVOA, and their difference-making safety Landon Collins (ankle) could be done for the season.
Others to consider: Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garoppolo
Best Week 15 NFL DFS Running Backs on FanDuel
Le’Veon Bell vs. NE ($9.4k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
He’s unlikely to find the end zone three times against a disciplined Patriots team that will assuredly be better prepared this week after getting gashed by the Dolphins’ ground game in Week 14. Yet Le’Veon Bell is one of the safest plays on the board as always. Pittsburgh will look to ride their workhorse in an effort to keep Brady and the Pats’ offense off the field. They would be wise to do so, as the Patriots rank 32nd in rushing DVOA after their latest debacle.
Alvin Kamara vs. NYJ ($9.1k FanDuel) – GPP
The Saints expect to have Alvin Kamara back from a concussion on Sunday as they host the overmatched Jets. The Jets’ defense has been solid against the interior rush but vulnerable on the edges. Kamara could once again surpass Mark Ingram as an upside GPP play with a very solid floor. The Saints are running everything through their two backs and have an excellent offensive line. Further, the Jets will start Bryce Petty, likely giving the Saints a few short field opportunities for Kamara to get in the zone.
Kenyan Drake @ BUF ($6.5k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
The weather could be a key factor in Buffalo once again this week as we move deeper into December. But if there’s another heavy snowfall, Kenyan Drake would still see tons of usage as the safest option for the Dolphins. The 23-year-old has held up to a huge workload so far, handling 56 touches over two games with Damien Williams (shoulder) inactive. Plus, Drake just burned the Broncos and Patriots for a whopping 334 YFS during that span.
Rex Burkhead @ PIT ($6.5k FanDuel) – GPP
As the preferred goal-line back for an elite offensive team and also one who can present huge mismatches for linebackers, Rex Burkhead is a very solid option in any format this week. The Steelers will badly miss Ryan Shazier in this matchup as they try to contain New England’s shifty corps of receiving backs. Look for Burkhead to win on routes and serve as the slot man at times.
Others to consider: Todd Gurley, Leonard Fournette, Carlos Hyde, Latavius Murray, Jamaal Williams, Bilal Powell

Best Week 15 NFL DFS Wide Receivers on FanDuel
Antonio Brown vs. NE ($9.3k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
It’s not particularly difficult to pay up for Antonio Brown at this price tag on FanDuel. As with his teammate Le’Veon Bell, you get an elite floor-ceiling combination when you do. The most complete receiver in football just torched the second-ranked Ravens pass defense for 213 yards despite drawing double coverage quite often. So even if Bill Belichick does his best to scheme AB out of the game, the Steelers’ superstar should find ways to produce.
Adam Thielen vs. CIN ($7.6k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
He may not be able to sustain his production in the red zone, but Adam Thielen has suddenly developed into one of the most consistent receivers in the game. After breaking his streak of five-plus receptions in a tough matchup at Atlanta, the Vikings’ top receiver went for 105 yards and a TD in Carolina. And he lost another score on a silly replay reversal. He’s facing a Bengals pass defense that’s declined lately as it lost top CB Adam Jones (groin) for the season.
Marquise Goodwin vs. TEN ($6.6k FanDuel) – Cash
Jimmy Garoppolo’s new favorite receiver is clearly Marquise Goodwin. The Texas product caught six of a team-high 12 targets for 106 yards last week. He’s totaled 205 receiving yards in Garoppolo’s two starts and could see positive regression in terms of TDs eventually. Up next for this duo is a prime matchup against a Titans team that ranks 25th in passing DVOA and has struggled against speedy WRs all year.
Dede Westbrook vs. HOU ($5.7k FanDuel) – GPP
The Jaguars have a couple of intriguing young options at WR, including Keenan Cole ($4.5k), who is a true punt play in this plus matchup. Dede Westbrook caught 5-of-8 targets for 81 yards and a TD while Cole led the team with 99 receiving yards and caught a TD in a second straight game. Yet Westbrook remains the more consistent option. Both WRs are worth GPP consideration against a reeling Texans defense that’s allowed the fifth-most receiving TDs (24) and is tied with the most pass plays of 40-plus yards (13) allowed this season.
Others to consider: Michael Thomas, Josh Gordon, Brandin Cooks, Jordy Nelson, Devin Funchess, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Randall Cobb
Best Week 15 NFL DFS Tight Ends on FanDuel
Rob Gronkowski @ PIT ($8.5k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
This is a week to pay up for TEs. Rob Gronkowski and likely Zach Ertz (concussion) are returning to action in juicy matchups. The Patriots really missed Gronk on Monday night and will immediately look to use him to exploit the Shazier-less Steelers. Gronk’s caught five TDs over his last three meetings with Pittsburgh and is a great option to pair with Tom Brady as per usual.
Zach Ertz @ NYG ($7.9k FanDuel) – GPP
He’ll likely see a low ownership rate because of Gronk’s obvious upside, the fact that he’s coming off a concussion, and the unfortunate injury to Carson Wentz. But Zach Ertz has just as much potential in a prime matchup. The Giants allow the most FPPG (17.25) to opposing TEs and have given up 11 TDs to the position over 13 games, including one to Ertz back in Week 3. As a more traditional pocket passer, Nick Foles would be wise to target his elusive TE more often than Wentz did.
Others to consider: Delanie Walker, Ricky Seals-Jones, Stephen Anderson
Best Week 15 NFL DFS D/ST on FanDuel
Eagles @ NYG ($4.7k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
Don’t be afraid to take an elite defense on the road, especially in a divisional battle where one team is basically done for the year. Philadelphia is better than the G-Men in every facet of the game. They will likely win big despite the absence of Carson Wentz. Their extremely talented defense could rally and carry the day while Nick Foles manages the game down the stretch.
49ers vs. TEN ($4.3k FanDuel) – GPP
If you need to punt at D/ST with a cheap play, the Niners are worth a look after producing six FD points in each of their last two games. They’ll face a hobbled QB in Marcus Mariota (knee), who can’t escape the rush right now or get much done in the passing game. Plus, his top targets are hobbled — Rishard Matthews (hamstring) and Delanie Walker (knee). The Titans managed a measly 204 YFS and seven points at Arizona last week. They could struggle on the road once again.
