December 12, 2017 NHL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings & FanDuel
For the 12/12 NHL DFS slate tonight, and for the rest of the season, we’ll be writing up the centers, wingers, defensemen, and goalies we’re considering for our Cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. We’ll also use this info when building lineups at Draft.
Please note the advice below is relevant for daily fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to the matchup, price, and lots of other factors. This is important to consider when constructing a roster at the various daily fantasy sites. You guys know the mega studs, so we’ll focus on the plays to fill out the rest of your lineups.

NHL DFS Centers
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins @ CBJ (5.2k DraftKings, 5.6k FanDuel)
The Oilers are struggling to say the least, but Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is still producing for Edmonton. He’s contributed 11 goals and 11 assists this season. The former first-overall pick has potted three goals and one assist on the power play. In the last five games, the center has produced two goals, one helper, and 11 shots on net.
Artem Anisimov vs. FLA (6.1k DraftKings, 5.6k FanDuel)
The Blackhawks boast stars like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews, but Artem Anisimov is always a threat. He’s tallied 13 goals and three assists this season. The Russian center has sniped seven goals on the power play and has a shorthanded goal to his name as well. He potted a goal last game out and has eight shots on net in the last five contests. The Florida Panthers have surrendered a league-worst 3.52 goals a game and will be on the second night of a back-to-back.
Yanni Gourde @ STL (4.1k DraftKings, 4.1k FanDuel)
The Tampa Bay Lightning taking on St. Louis Blues is probably the matchup of the night, and Yanni Gourde could be the sneaky pick of the night. He’s a third line center, but he’s contributed nine goals and 11 assists this season. The 25-year-old has produced three goals, two assists, and eight shots in the last five games. Further, Gourde’s potted three goals on the power play and tallied one shorthanded goal this season. Tampa Bay is also leading the league in goals per game at 3.76.

NHL DFS Wingers
Jason Pominville vs. OTT (4k DraftKings, 4.5k FanDuel)
Jason Pominville is the veteran for the Buffalo Sabres, and he’s been pretty good this season. He’s contributed eight goals and eight assists this year, including two power-play goals. He’s potted two goals and fired 15 shots on net in the last five contests.
Wayne Simmonds vs. TOR (5.3k DraftKings, 5.3k FanDuel)
The Flyers have struggled this year, but Wayne Simmonds has not. He’s potted 10 goals and dished out eight helpers on the year. Simmonds has scored in three straight games, one of which was on the power play. The Flyers winger has produced four goals and three assists on the PP. He’s also been great in the clutch, tallying four game-winning goals this year.
David Perron vs. CAR (5.1k DraftKings, 5.8k FanDuel)
David Perron’s been fantastic since he returned from injury for the Vegas Golden Knights. He’s contributed three points in the last two games, including one goal. Perron’s totaled 22 points (seven goals, 15 helpers) in 23 games this season. He’s also produced four of his seven goals when the Knights play at home. His team scores 3.48 goals per game — good for third in the NHL.

NHL DFS Defensemen
Jake Gardiner @ PHI (3.9k DraftKings, 3.7k FanDuel)
Jake Gardiner has been through the thick and thin with the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he’s been awesome this year, with two goals and 15 assists. Gardiner has tallied four assists in the last five games. The 27-year-old is a quarterback on the power play and has dished out five helpers when the Leafs have the man advantage.
Dmitry Orlov vs. COL (3.5k DraftKings, 3.7k FanDuel)
Dmitry Orlov has recorded three goals and eight assists this season, and he’s tallied three assists and one goal in the last five contests. Orlov has recorded 59 shots, 44 hits, and 39 blocked shots thus far. The Russian defenseman plays just over 22 minutes a game, and eight of his 11 points have come at home this season.
Mark Giordano @ MIN (4.8k DraftKings, 5.6k FanDuel)
The Flames’ captain always steadies the ship for Calgary and Mark Giordano has contributed three points and 13 shots in the last five games. Giordano’s tallied four goals and seven helpers so far this season as well. He’s got one goal on the power play and one when the Flames are shorthanded.

NHL DFS Goalies
Malcolm Subban vs. CAR (7.7k DraftKings, 7.6k FanDuel)
Malcolm Subban’s been a huge part of the Vegas Golden Knights’ success this year. He’s 7-2-0 with a 2.33 goals against average and .924 save percentage. Subban has won three games in a row and hasn’t given up more than three goals in those contests. The Knights are 11-2-0 at home, and Subban is 5-1 at the T-Mobile Arena. He’s made at least 26 saves in the last five games.
Frederik Andersen @ PHI (8k DraftKings, 8.7k FanDuel)
Frederik Andersen’s been the MVP for the Toronto Maple Leafs season. Tonight, Andersen will be fresh after getting a rest day, and he’s been stellar recently. He’s 4-1 with a .937 save percentage in the last five games and recorded 45 and 48 saves in two of those contests. Andersen has three shutouts to this name this year and has a 17-8-1 record on the whole.
