Best NBA DFS Picks for December 9, 2017
Guards
Courtney Lee @ CHI (DraftKings 5.4k, FanDuel 5.9k)
The New York Knicks have some injury issues, but they’ve opened the window for Courtney Lee to shine. He scored 24 points last time out, and in the last five games, he’s averaged 16.4 points a game. On average, he’s dished out 2.9 dimes, grabbed 3.6 boards, and just over two steals a game. Lee is playing 31.6 minutes a game in the last five contests due to a Tim Hardaway Jr. injury.
Eric Gordon @ POR (4.8k DraftKings, 4.8k FanDuel)
Eric Gordon has flourished in his second year with the Houston Rockets and Mike D’Antoni’s system. He is averaging 18.9 points a game while handing out two assists a game. The Indiana product is averaging three made deep balls a game while shooting nine a contest. Gordon has made at least one 3-pointer in the last five games. For even more heartening offensive stats, he’s shooting 83.8 percent from the charity stripe, and Houston is second in the league in scoring with 114.0 points a game.
Alec Burks @ MIL (4.9k DraftKings, 5.1k FanDuel)
Injuries have delayed Alec Burks from flourishing, but recently he’s been dominating the competition. The sixth-year player is averaging 21.4 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.4 boards in the last five contests. He’s holds a 43.8 shooting percentage and is shooting 40 percent from 3-point land. Burks has scored in double figures 11 times this season. As for tonight, the Bucks will be on the second night of back-to-back, so the Jazz should be able to take advantage of some tired legs.
Others to consider: Chris Paul, Lonzo Ball, Malcolm Brogdon, Kent Bazemore

Forwards
T.J. Warren vs. SAS (6.7k DraftKings, 7.9k FanDuel)
The Suns are rebuilding for sure, but they have some good young players. T.J. Warren, for one, boasts great potential. In the last 10 contests, he’s averaging 19.3 points and is ripping down 5.7 boards a game. The last time Warren played the Spurs, the NC State product dropped 17 and grabbed six rebounds. He’s collected at least seven rebounds in three of the last five contests.
Julius Randle @ CHA (4.7k DraftKings, 5k FanDuel)
Julius Randle is a pending restricted free agent, and he’s been putting up some good numbers. He’s averaging 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. The former Kentucky Wildcat is part of a great bench unit and gets minutes when the Lakers are in need of a comeback. Randle’s is averaging 4.1 free throw attempts a game and is shooting 66 percent from the charity stripe. He’s collected two double-doubles this season as well.
Jonathon Simmons vs. DEN (5.7k DraftKings, 6.1k FanDuel)
Jonathon Simmons was rewarded with a big contract this offseason by the Orlando Magic, and he’s been producing for them. He’s scored in double figures in four of the last five games and averaging 14 a contest. Simmons has produced more than 10 points in 22 of 26 games. Looking at tonight, the Nuggets are allowing teams to score 107.7 points a game while the Magic are dropping 107.5 a contest. Sounds like a match.
Others to consider: Carmelo Anthony, Dario Saric , Brandon Ingram

Centers
Rudy Gobert @ MIL (6k DraftKings, 7.4k FanDuel)
The Utah Jazz have some great young talent, and Rudy Gobert is a defensive leader for the squad. He’s averaging 2.3 blocks a contest while averaging 12.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per contest. He was out with an injury for a while, but now he’s back anchoring the Jazz’s defense. Gobert’s collected nine double-doubles in 15 games this season. Gobert could go for a big night against the Bucks’ inexperienced and offensively limited frontline.
Steven Adams @ MEM (5.8k DraftKings, 6.4k FanDuel)
Steven Adams doesn’t get a ton of touches for the Thunder, but he’s been one of their most important players. The Kiwi is averaging 13.4 points and 8.4 rebounds a contest. In the last five games, he’s tallied two double-doubles and scored 20 or more points in two of those games. The Memphis Grizzlies will be on a second night of a back-to-back, so the struggling Thunder could feast against another team fighting for its season.
Others to consider: Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Nikola Vucevic
