Best NHL DFS Picks for December 2, 2017

NHL DFS Centers

Nick Schmaltz @ DAL (4.7k DraftKings, 4.7k FanDuel)
Nick Shmaltz has been producing for the Chicago Blackhawks, putting up 16 points in the 24 games. In the last five games, he’s potted one goal, dished out five assists and fired eight shots on net. Schmaltz’s is on the second powerplay unit and has tallied five assists.

Brayden Point @ TBL (5.8k DraftKings, 5k FanDuel)
Brayden Point’s been a great secondary scorer for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He’s recorded 21 points (9 goals, 12 assists) in 21 games. Point’s collected two goals and two assists when the Lightning have the man advantage. The 21-year-old has tallied 15 of his 21 points when the Lightning are at home.

Brendan Gallagher @ BUF (5.1k DraftKings, 6.3k FanDuel)
The Montreal Canadiens super pest is doing a lot more than annoy people. He’s leading the Canadiens in points with 18 while potting 12 goals. Last game against the Red Wings he put two past the netminder while collecting one helper. Gallagher is on the second powerplay unit and he’s collected five points when the Habs have the man advantage.

Others to consider: Bo Horvat, Joe Thornton, Tyler Johnson

NHL DFS Wingers

Artemi Panarin @ WSH (6.1k DraftKings, 6.4k FanDuel)
The Bread Man Artemi Panarin has been the only legitimate point producer for the Columbus Jackets this year. He leads the team with five goals and eleven assists. He’s produced one goal and three helpers on the powerplay. Panarin is slumping recently so he’s due for a breakout game against the Capitals.

T.J. Oshie vs. CBJ (5.8k DraftKings, 6k FanDuel)
The Washington Capitals signed T.J. Oshie to a big eight-year deal and he’s rewarded them with point production. He’s produced 10 goals and 12 assists this year. He gets first team powerplay ice time and he’s sniped seven when the Capitals have the man advantage. In the last five contests, he’s dished out five helpers.

Daniel Sedin vs. TOR (3.4k DraftKings, 5.7k FanDuel)
The Vancouver Canucks have a new look team but they still have old reliables like Daniel Sedin. Sedin just picked up his 1000th point last game and could be in a for big night against the Maple Leafs. He’s recorded 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) this season while putting two past the netminder when the Canucks are on the PP. The Swede has collected five points in the last five contests.

Others to consider: Corey Perry, Anthony Mantha, William Nylander

NHL DFS Defensemen

Cam Fowler @ NSH (4k DraftKings, 4.7k FanDuel)
Cam Fowler’s been rock solid for the depleted Anaheim Ducks since he returned from injury. He’s produced six goals in fourteen contests. In the last five games, he’s recorded one goal, two assists and six shots on net. He’ll get tons of ice time whether it be shorthanded or on the powerplay. Fowler does have a shorthanded goal to his name this year.

Justin Faulk vs. FLA (4.4k DraftKings, 4.7k FanDuel)
Justin Faulk’s been decent this year for the Carolina Hurricanes. He’s tallied one goal and six assists in 24 games. The mobile defenceman has fired 14 shots on net in the last five contests and dished out two helpers. He isn’t afraid to get in the shooting lane this year, collecting 34 blocked shots.

Nikita Zaitsev @ VAN (4k DraftKings, 4.6k FanDuel)
Nikita Zaitsev’s been a scoring threat in the past few games for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has two goals in the last three contests and has peppered netminders with 11 shots in the previous five contests. Toronto is second in the league goals per game at 3.58 at Zaitsev been helping increase that number. He will get powerplay time here and there and could be a cheap addition to your DFS lineup.

Others to consider: Duncan Keith, Aaron Ekblad, Justin Shultz

NHL DFS Goalies

Carey Price vs. DET (8k DraftKings, 8.9k FanDuel)
Montreal’s best player has been exactly that for the Canadiens since he returned from injury. Price is 4-0-0 since returning from injury, made at least 28 saves and recorded a shutout. When the Habs are playing at home, he’s put up a 2.26 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. The gold medalist is on a roll and it is always smart to ride the hot hand.

Mike Smith  vs. EDM (7.8K DraftKings, 8k FanDuel)
Mike Smith shutout his former squad last game, stopping all 28 shots the Coyotes fired his way. The Battle of Alberta is always a hotly contested game and Smith should be primed for another big game. In the last five games, he’s made at least 28 saves and recorded two wins. The Oilers only score 2.73 goals a contest and are coming off a heartbreaking loss. The Flames and Smith should be ready to take advantage.

Others to Consider: Frederik Anderson, Pekka Rinne, Scott Darling
