FanDuel NFL DFS Week 13 Picks and Plays for Cash Game and GPP Lineups
Week 13 of NFL DFS is here, and everyone is looking to cash in on the big daily fantasy football money at FanDuel. Every week, we’ll bring you our top daily fantasy NFL picks for each position and recommend them as Cash and/or GPP plays. And to keep up with all things PlayPicks, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook.
As with any DFS, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, gameflow, and more factors. This is important when constructing a roster.
By this time in the season, weather will play a key factor in NFL games, so make sure to check the forecast for each Sunday.
Best Week 13 NFL DFS Quarterbacks on FanDuel
Russell Wilson vs. PHI ($8.2k FanDuel) – GPP
Russell Wilson continued his incredible stretch of play last Sunday, overcoming a slow start to finish with 228 passing yards, two passing TDs, and a rushing TD for a second consecutive game. He remains the best rusher for Seattle and will have to scramble to move the chains against an Eagles team that ranks third in rushing DVOA. Philadelphia is facing a high percentage of pass attempts because of that prowess against the run, so Wilson should continue to carry his team in a potential shootout.
Carson Wentz @ SEA ($8.0k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
In Week 8, Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson treated fans to an electric 41-38 shootout with tons of DFS goodness on both sides. Wentz has been every bit as good as Watson, and that struggling Seahawks secondary has since been depleted by season-ending injuries to Kam Chancellor (neck) and Richard Sherman (Achilles). Wentz has tossed 10 TDs with only two interceptions on the road this season, and he’s produced 20-plus FD points in three straight outings.
Philip Rivers vs. CLE ($8.0k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
The Browns have clearly been a doormat this year, but they’re stopping the run to a degree. Conversely, Cleveland remains very vulnerable through the air, ranking 27th in passing DVOA. After shredding the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, Philip Rivers and the Chargers’ receivers have a ton of momentum heading into this plus matchup at home.
Jimmy Garoppolo @ CHI ($6.3k FanDuel) – GPP
The matchup is far from ideal against an underrated Bears secondary, but it’s hard to find a QB with Jimmy Garoppolo’s talent in this price range. Poised for his first start this week, Garoppolo made his Niners debut in garbage time last Sunday and looked sharp while completing two passes for 18 yards and a TD. We’ll see if he can sustain his lofty career passer rating (110.1) in a start this Sunday.
Others to consider: Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Marcus Mariota

Best Week 13 NFL DFS Running Backs on FanDuel
Jordan Howard vs. SF ($7.5k FanDuel) – GPP
With the Saints’ dynamic RB duo drawing a tough matchup against the Panthers elite LBs and Todd Gurley up against a tough Cardinals front seven, Jordan Howard has an outside shot to lead his position in per-dollar value. He hasn’t flashed much upside lately due in part to negative gameflow, but the Bears (-3.5) are actually favored at home against the 1-10 Niners. San Francisco ranks 28th in DVOA defense while giving up the third-most RuYPG (129.5) in the NFL this season.
Christian McCaffrey @ NO ($7.3k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
The Saints are allowing the most receiving YPG (54.25) to opposing RBs this season. Christian McCaffrey has the second-most receptions (59) on the most targets (84) among NFL backs this season. That makes him an easy choice in any format in a game with a 48-point over/under. The rookie RB could be the top receiving option for Carolina with Greg Olsen (foot) out once again and Devin Funchess (toe) questionable this week.
Dion Lewis @ BUF ($6.3k FanDuel) – Cash
Dion Lewis has been the primary rusher for the best offense in the NFL, and that clearly makes him a viable Cash option. The Bills are ranked 31st in DVOA run defense, and the Patriots will always exploit the enemy’s weakness by playing smart offensive football. Lewis remains cheap on DK because of his minimal usage in the passing game, but you can’t expect the Patriots to stick with their backs in the same role. Lewis remains a good bet for a TD on a weekly basis with LeGarrette Blount gone and Mike Gillislee routinely inactive.
Kenyan Drake @ DEN ($5.8k FanDuel) – GPP
With Damien Williams (shoulder) doubtful and rookie backup Senorise Perry in the league’s concussion protocol, Kenyan Drake stands to see nearly all the touches for Miami out of the backfield. While his outlook as a runner isn’t great against Denver’s great interior rush defense, he could pile up PPR points on dump-off passes, especially if the Dolphins are playing from behind. He caught three balls in Week 12, including an eight-yard TD against a disciplined Patriots defense. Now, he faces a unit that loves to blitz its linebackers, leaving the Broncos vulnerable to screen passes.

Best Week 13 NFL DFS Wide Receivers on FanDuel
Keenan Allen vs. CLE ($8.1k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
The obvious player to pair with Philip Rivers this Sunday, Keenan Allen has suddenly caught fire with 331 yards and three TDs over his last two appearances. This comes after a long streak of failing to get in the end zone. The Browns rank dead last in DVOA against opposing top WRs, and Allen should be able to shake any of Cleveland’s corners in sunny California this Sunday.
Adam Thielen @ ATL ($7.8k FanDuel) – Cash
With five or more receptions in 14 consecutive games dating back to last season, Adam Thielen is clearly a premier Cash option right now. His outlook could seriously improve if elite Atlanta CB Desmond Trufant (concussion) is unable to play in Week 13. Atlanta’s other corners are far less capable of stopping Thielen. He can run a versatile route tree, and Case Keenum is delivering him the ball on time and target right now.
Mike Evans @ GB ($7.5k FanDuel) – GPP
While he hasn’t made much of an impact in the box score, Mike Evans has notably drawn 22 targets over two appearances since returning from suspension in Week 11. Ryan Fitzpatrick should continue forcing the ball toward his top target in a plus matchup against Green Bay. The Packers give up the eighth-most FD PPG to opposing WRs and has been torched by top wide receivers whenever they face a team with a true No. 1 option.
Josh Gordon @ LAC ($5.8k FanDuel) – GPP
There are a wide range of outcomes as Josh Gordon returns from a three-year absence to face an elite Chargers pass defense. But talent often wins out over the course of a long game, and we could see Gordon flash one of his trademark big plays. He’s still in great shape at the age of 26, and Hue Jackson said he wants Gordon to play “as much as possible” in his debut this Sunday, which makes him very much under-priced regardless of matchup. Keep in mind, his floor is likely zero.
Others to consider: Julio Jones, Brandin Cooks, Tyreek Hill, Alshon Jeffery, Demaryius Thomas, Marquise Goodwin, Davante Adams, Marqise Lee
Best Week 13 NFL DFS Tight Ends on FanDuel
Rob Gronkowski @ BUF ($8.1k FanDuel) – GPP
A native of upstate New York, Rob Gronkowski has totaled 11 TDs over 11 career games against the Buffalo Bills. He faces a reeling version of that defense this Sunday, which was dominated in three consecutive games prior to slowing down the struggling Chiefs offense. Bet on the Patriots’ savvy coaching staff scheming him open despite the Bills’ solid numbers against opposing TEs this season.
Charles Clay vs. NE ($5.5k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
On the other side of the ball, the Patriots’ defense could struggle after suffering injuries to DE Trey Flowers (ribs), S Nate Ebner (knee), LB Marquis Flowers (knee), and LB Kyle Van Noy (calf) in last week’s win. Van Noy’s absence would be the most notable for a Pats franchise that can coach people up off their practice squad but probably needs some time to shore up intermediate coverage if Van Noy can’t go. That would leave them vulnerable to Charles Clay, who could lead the Bills in targets and pile up late catches in a tilt with negative gameflow.
Others to consider: Travis Kelce, Evan Engram, Jared Cook, Julius Thomas
Best Week 13 NFL DFS D/ST on FanDuel
Ravens vs. DET ($4.6k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
This unit has been up and down throughout the year, but Baltimore’s been far more consistent at home. The Ravens’ defense has forced 11 turnovers with 17 sacks over five home games this year and has really turned it up over its last four appearances. Baltimore recorded rare shutouts of the Dolphins and Packers in two of those games. Matthew Stafford is dealing with a laundry list of injuries, and the Lions’ offense is predictably pass-happy, which could lead to more sacks and potential turnovers.
Cardinals vs. LAR ($4.3k FanDuel) – GPP
If you need to save big at D/ST so that you can afford studs across the board, here’s a defense that’s nearly the minimum with some upside. Jared Goff and the Rams continue to impress, but that unit struggled against a quick Minnesota defense. Similarly, Arizona has plenty of team speed. The Cardinals’ pass rush has been fierce with 14 sacks over its last four outings, forcing five turnovers over the last two games. Of course, playing at home is always a bonus for Chandler Jones and the rest of those pass rushers.
