Best NBA DFS Picks for November 28, 2017
Guards
Bradley Beal @ MIN ($7.9k DraftKings, $8.3k FanDuel)
With John Wall (knee) out over the next couple of weeks, Bradley Beal becomes a lineup staple. And Wall’s backup, Tim Frazier ($4.1k, $4.6k), becomes a solid punt play to consider in a plus matchup tonight. For his part, Kelly Oubre ($4.3k, $5.2k) sees a 5.1 percent rise in usage rate with Wall off the floor. But Beal sees the biggest increase (6.3 percent). He dwarfs his teammates with a 37.2 percent usage rate when Wall is off the court. The Florida product launched 24 attempts in a close loss to Portland last week and draws a much better matchup tonight against a Timberwolves team ranked 28th in defensive rating and dead last in opponent FG percentage (.487) this year.
Eric Bledsoe @ SAC ($6.6k DraftKings, $7.0k FanDuel)
As he grows more comfortable on his new team and Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) slows down a bit after his torrid start, Eric Bledsoe has been able to meet or exceed value in three straight games. He stands to keep that streak going tonight against a Kings team that ranks 26th in defensive rating and 26th in opponent FG percentage (.521). With no tangible rim protector, the Kings have been burned in the paint. Bledsoe is shooting an efficient 24-of-52 (46 percent) from the floor, pouring in 62 points in his last three appearances.
Mike James @ CHI ($4.6k DraftKings, $4.4k FanDuel)
Mike James is definitely a value to consider if Devin Booker (knee) seems likely to miss another tilt or play limited minutes due to his injury. With Booker inactive, James surged for 26 points and seven assists over 30 minutes, and he leads active Suns with a 33.5 percent usage rate when Booker’s off the floor this season. That is an 8.2 percent rise from his usual usage rate. James stands as a virtual must-play if Booker is out.
Also, keep a close eye on the status of Jeff Teague (Achilles). If he sits, Tyus Jones (4.3k, $5.2k) could have another big game after compiling 17 points, 13 assists, and 11 steals over two starts for the Wolves’ injured starter.
Others to consider: Goran Dragic, Donovan Mitchell, Dwyane Wade, Jamal Murray, Tyler Johnson, Jerian Grant

Otto Porter @ MIN ($6.4k DraftKings, $7.3k FanDuel)
Another player who stands to benefit with John Wall out, Otto Porter went for 24 points and 10 boards against an athletic Portland team on Saturday. He averages 1.06 FPs per minute with a 4.7 percent usage rate when Wall is off the floor this season and could provide sneaky upside if the Wolves use Jimmy Butler to try and contain Beal tonight. Minnesota gives up the ninth-most PPG (21.65) to opposing SFs partially because Andrew Wiggins is a far worse defender than Butler.
Denzel Valentine vs. PHO ($5.6k DraftKings, $6.2k FanDuel)
After struggling in tough matchups against the Jazz and Warriors, Denzel Valentine played a team-high 40 minutes while providing excellent play on both ends of the floor on his way to 14 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists on Sunday. Averaging 11.6 PPG since moving into the starting lineup, Valentine appears much more comfortable in his second NBA campaign. He’s dictating things offensively with an 18.3 percent assist rate. Up next is a Suns team that just beat out the Cavs for the designation of worst defensive rating in the NBA. Phoenix also gives up the most RPG (47.4) while playing at the third-fastest pace this season.
Kenneth Faried @ UTA ($3.9k DraftKings, $4.6k FanDuel)
In order to pay up for either LeBron James of “The Greek Freak” tonight, you’ll have to find salary relief at the other forward positions. Kenneth Faried can certainly supply it. He moved into the Nuggets’ starting lineup on Friday with Paul Millsap (wrist) out indefinitely. Even though he was a DNP-CD the game before, Faried is likely to see closer to 30 minutes in a matchup against the sizable Jazz frontcourt. “The Manimal” is still grabbing 10 boards per 36 minutes, and Utah gives up the eighth-most RPG (12.7) to opposing PFs this season.
Others to consider: LeBron James, T.J. Warren, Derrick Favors, James Johnson, Bobby Portis, Joe Ingles

Center
Karl-Anthony Towns vs. WAS ($9.1k DraftKings, $9.5k FanDuel)
It comes down to Karl-Anthony Towns or Nikola Jokic for high-priced center options tonight. KAT could see lower ownership because “The Joker” just impressed in a tough matchup against Marc Gasol and the Grizzlies. Towns dropped a big double-double against Phoenix on Sunday (when most DFSers were concentrating on football) and has played better in three straight games since getting dominated by Dwight Howard last Monday. In tonight’s matchup, Marcin Gortat could continue to struggle to find his offense with John Wall out. That might take away from his defensive effort against KAT, who torched him rather easily for 57 points on 55.8 percent shooting over two meetings with Washington last year.
John Henson @ SAC ($4.7k DraftKings, $5.5k FanDuel)
John Henson is a far safer option in this price range than one of the Suns’ three centers. Henson draws a great matchup against a Kings team that gives up the third-most FPPG (59.92) and most RPG (19.58) to opposing centers this year. The Bucks big man hardly missed a beat while scoring 11 points with eight rebounds on Saturday after missing last Wednesday’s tilt with an eye injury.
Others to consider: Nikola Jokic, Hassan Whiteside, Alex Len
