FanDuel NFL DFS Week 11 Picks and Plays for Cash Game and GPP Lineups

Week 11 of NFL DFS is upon us, and everyone is looking to cash in on the big daily fantasy football money at FanDuel. Every week, we’ll bring you our top daily fantasy NFL picks for each position and recommend them as Cash and/or GPP plays. And to keep up with all things PlayPicks, follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook.

As with any DFS, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than in real life due to matchup, price, gameflow, and more factors. This is important when constructing a roster.

In NFL DFS, predicting gameflow can be vital. Teams on the way to winning comfortably will be far more likely to lean on their running games, while two teams with poor defenses and high-powered offenses could pay off by getting into a shootout. Later in the season, weather will play a key factor in NFL games, so make sure to check the forecast for each Sunday.

Best Week 11 NFL DFS Quarterbacks on FanDuel

Carson Wentz @ DAL ($8.7k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
It’s close choosing between Carson Wentz and Tom Brady this Sunday, as both draw fantastic matchups against struggling defenses. Wentz remains the safer play simply because the Eagles offense is more predictable, and the Cowboys defense is that vulnerable without captain and elite ILB Sean Lee (hamstring) questionable after leaving last week’s game. Wentz is making all the right decisions and carving up zone defenses, so he shouldn’t have much trouble producing against the Cowboys’ Cover 2-based scheme.

Tom Brady @ OAK ($8.6k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
The Patriots’ offense officially returned to the stratosphere last Sunday night in a 41-point thrashing of the Broncos. Josh McDaniels and Bill Belichick coached circles around Denver’s staff. They shouldn’t have much trouble finding weaknesses in a Raiders unit that ranks 32nd in DVOA pass defense and has coughed up 14 passing TDs without recording an interception this year. The only risk with Tom Brady is the strange environment down in Mexico City and the possibility that New England runs near the goal line against an Oakland defense that can’t stop anything. His ceiling is certainly as high as Wentz’s or any other QB’s this week.

Derek Carr vs. NE ($8.0k FanDuel) – GPP
Derek Carr has been very inconsistent this year but so has the Patriots’ pass defense. While that unit showed improvements against the Jets, Chargers, and Broncos in recent weeks, those passing attacks pale in comparison to that of the Raiders. Oakland is healthier and coming out of a bye week in preparation for this showdown with the defending champs. Carr’s thrown for 300-plus yards in three straight outings and absolutely blew up in a shootout with the Chiefs in Week 7, so perhaps he’s forced into another situation of that sort opposite Brady and the Pats.

Alex Smith @ NYG ($7.9k FanDuel) – Cash
You really can’t trust any QB priced below Alex Smith in Week 11 although Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jay Cutler are worth a look in GPP formats if you really need to save some salary. Smith remains a safe option as the maestro of Andy Reid’s sophisticated offense. He’ll face a reeling Giants team that’s coughed up 82 points and 947 total yards over its last two contests.

Others to consider: Dak Prescott, Drew Brees, Kirk Cousins, Jay Cutler

Best Week 11 NFL DFS Running Backs on FanDuel

Kareem Hunt @ NYG ($8.6k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
The preferred option over the suddenly-inconsistent Leonard Fournette (possibly for disciplinary reasons) and Todd Gurley in a matchup against Minnesota’s third-ranked run defense, Kareem Hunt faces a Giants team that ranks 25th in DOVA run defense and allows the third-most RuYPG (132.6) this season. His lackluster production against the Broncos and Cowboys in two games before the Chiefs’ bye week should keep his ownership rate down. This is definitely a smash spot for the workhorse with KC (-10.5) heavily favored on the road.

Mark Ingram vs. WAS ($8.2k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
Throw Alvin Kamara ($7.5k) right next to Mark Ingram as a high-quality tournament option at home this week against Washington. The DC squad ranks 21st in DVOA pass defense against running backs. With a front seven that can be too aggressive at times, Washington could get burned by Sean Payton’s patented screen game. Kamara is the better bet in PPR formats, but since FanDuel’s scoring is more touchdown-oriented, Ingram seems to have more upside. He’s racked up six TDs over his last five games and has a very high success rate converting at the goal line.

Melvin Gordon vs. BUF ($7.8k FanDuel) – GPP
Melvin Gordon remains a volatile option along with the rest of the Chargers skill players. But he returns home this week to face a struggling Bills defense that was gashed for 298 rushing yards at home last week and gave up 194 yards to the Jets’ weak RBs the week prior. Gordon’s posted strange home/road splits this year, but the Charges hosted top 10 units Denver and Philly in their last two home tilts. It’s also possible the flukey production from Austin Ekeler steers the public off Gordon and makes him an even better GPP play.

Jay Ajayi @ DAL ($6.9kFanDuel) – GPP
It could be time for the Eagles to “release The Beast,” as Jay Ajayi likes to call himself when he’s rolling during games. The Cowboys rank 30th in DVOA run defense and would be ripe to target if difference-maker Sean Lee is inactive or hobbled in Week 11. With the Eagles expected to roll against the Ezekiel Elliott-less Cowboys (who also couldn’t protect their QB last week), gameflow should play in favor of the 216-pound Philly workhorse.

Others to consider: Leonard Fournette, Todd Gurley, LeSean McCoy, Adrian Peterson, Dion Lewis, Kenyan Drake

Best Week 11 NFL DFS Wide Receivers on FanDuel

Mike Evans @ MIA ($7.8k FanDuel) – GPP
This is one of the first times all year Mike Evans hasn’t had to contend with an elite shutdown CB. He’s also going to be quite well rested after serving a suspension last week. The Dolphins’ secondary has been abysmal all year and ranks 30th in DVOA pass defense. Big-bodied Panthers WR Devin Funchess just ran circles around Xavien Howard on Monday night. Evans remains one of the most skilled and physical WRs in the game, and he could lead his position once again if Ryan Fitzpatrick can simply put the ball on target.

Brandin Cooks @ OAK ($7.7k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
With Chris Hogan (shoulder) doubtful for Week 11, Brandin Cooks should continue to see plenty of looks from Tom Bradyk. He’s due for a big play or two against this awful secondary. Raiders DBs Sean Smith and Travis Carrie continue to struggle, while David Amerson (foot) is questionable to suit up at all this week. None of those corners are quick enough to deal with a burner like Cooks. The Patriots schemed him open despite facing a brutal matchup against the Broncos’ “No-Fly Zone,” and he turned a team-high 11 targets into 74 yards in that tough spot.

Jarvis Landry vs. TB ($6.8k FanDuel) – Cash
Tampa’s defense has been particularly awful against slot receivers, and CB Brent Grimes could do a good job on DeVante Parker this week, forcing more targets inside toward Jarvis Landry. Landry saved his box score in a lopsided loss on Monday with a late touchdown, but this contest should be much closer with a Pick ‘Em line assigned to the Florida showdown.

Sterling Shepard vs. KC ($6.5k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
With few other receiving options available, Sterling Shepard drew a team-high 11 targets on Sunday afternoon and piled up production in garbage time against the 49ers. This Sunday, he’ll face a Chiefs unit that’s not much better, ranking 27th in DVOA defense while giving up the fifth-most passing YPG (259.2) and second-most pass plays of 20-plus yards (35) this season. Gameflow should also play in his favor given the state of the Giants’ defense. Shepard is talented enough to function as a top receiver, as he’s averaging 99.9 receiving YPG over his last four healthy appearances.

Others to consider: Michael Thomas, Tyreek Hill, Michael Crabtree, Alshon Jeffery, DeVante Parker, Jamison Crowder, Ted Ginn Jr.

Best Week 11 NFL DFS Tight Ends on FanDuel

Rob Gronkowski @ OAK ($8.2k FanDuel) – GPP
Normally, you’d trust the opposing coaching staff to key in on Rob Gronkowski in obvious passing situations and double-team or hold him. Yet Jack Del Rio’s Raiders don’t exactly execute the game plan consistently, nor do we have any proof that he asks them to adjust their defensive scheme against difference-making players. As a result, Oakland ranks 28th in DVOA pass defense against opposing TEs. With both Zach Ertz and Travis Kelce approaching Gronk in terms of cost, it makes sense to use the Patriots’ main man in this potential shootout down in Mexico.

Travis Kelce @ NYG ($7.5k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
With 19 targets over his last two appearances and a TD in three straight, Travis Kelce has become one of the most reliable TE options in the game. So too has Zach Ertz ($8.0k), but he could draw coverage from solid Cowboys safety Byron Jones, while Kelce faces a Giants defense that’s somehow given up a score to a TE in 11 straight games. Expect Andy Reid and his staff to exploit the G-Men over the middle, where they’re weakest, and avoid their solid cornerbacks.

Others to consider: Zach Ertz, Evan Engram, Jared Cook, Julius Thomas

Best Week 11 NFL DFS D/ST on FanDuel

Broncos vs. CIN ($4.8k FanDuel) – GPP
There’s nothing like a bounce-back spot for a talented defense that’s been down on its luck in recent weeks to help you separate in tournaments. The Broncos’ defense got off to a good start against the Patriots last week, but the special teams destroyed any hope early en route to a blowout loss. While New England leads the NFL in total YPG, Cincinnati is dead last (274). The Bengals struggle to run the ball and have only one legitimate weapon in the passing game. Aqib Talib and company should be able to hold A.J. Green in check while Von Miller and the Denver pass rushers finally get going at home.

Cardinals @ HOU ($4.6k FanDuel) – Cash/GPP
If the Texans continue to roll out statuesque QB Tom Savage, you should continually target that offense in DFS contests. The Cardinals have an above-average pass rush led by Chandler Jones and have recorded 23 sacks through nine games this year. Patrick Peterson should be able to contain DeAndre Hopkins on the outside; Will Fuller is dealing with cracked ribs; also, the Texans traded away their best offensive lineman in Duane Brown.
