Best NHL DFS Picks for November 7, 2017
NHL DFS Centers
Jonathan Drouin vs VGK (5.6k DraftKings, 6k FanDuel)
Drouin was a big offseason get for the Canadiens and he has started the season off strong with 11 points in 15 games. The centerman has four points in the last five games and had the game-winning goal last time out. He is a facilitator on the PP and has four assists with the man advantage.
Sidney Crosby vs ARI (8k DraftKings, 9k FanDuel)
Crosby and the Penguins should be able to take care of the Coyotes on the second night of a back to back. The three-time Stanley Cup champion has 13 points in 16 games. He has been deadly on the powerplay, potting three goals and dishing out three assists. Crosby has 11 shots on net in the past five games.
Ryan O’Reilly vs WSH (5.7k DraftKings, 5.5k FanDuel)
The Sabres centerman has 12 points in 14 games. He has been dominant recently, tallying five points in the last three games. He is a cheap add for your team who is going up against a squad that allows 3.29 goals a game. O’Reilly has four games of four shots or more this season. He also has three goals when Buffalo has the man advantage.
Others to consider: Connor McDavid, Nico Hischier, Mikko Koivu
NHL DFS Wingers
Jordan Eberle vs EDM (5.1k DraftKings, 6.2k FanDuel)
This will be the first time Eberle plays against the team that drafted him. He’ll have all the motivation in the world to snipe a few against his former squad. Eberle has eleven points so far this year with four goals. The Islanders are averaging 3.79 goals a game which is good for third best in NHL. The Oilers are struggling this year and are allowing 3.31 goals a game. Eberle has found the scoring touch lately. He has four goals in as many games.
Jeff Skinner vs FLA (6.5k DraftKings, 6.5k FanDuel)
Florida has the worst goals against average in the league at 4.23 and Jeff Skinner should be able to get some points. The Left Winger leads the Hurricanes in points (9) and goals (7) so he is a must in your Tuesday night lineup. He has two goals and an assist with the man advantage.
Clayton Keller at PIT (6.4 DraftKings, 6.5k FanDuel)
Anytime you can have October’s Rookie of the Month in your lineup, it’s a must. Keller has eleven goals, six assists this season and has 56 shots on nets. It will be a high-scoring matchup between the Coyotes and Penguins. The Coyotes are 30th in the league in goals allowed per game at 4.13 while the Penguins let in 3.63 goals a contest. Keller has tallied six points in the last six games.
Others to Consider: Jaden Schwartz, Jeff Skinner, Bo Horvat
NHL DFS Defensemen
Seth Jones vs NSH (5.1k DraftKings, 5.4k FanDuel)
Jones has had a good start to the season from the offensive side of things. He is in the top ten in points for a defenseman with 12 points (3G 9A). In the game against Tampa Bay, he had a goal and an assist. There hasn’t been a game this year where Jones was held without a shot on goal. Jones does have a game-winning goal on his resume for the 2017/2018 season.
Jake Muzzin @ ANA (5k DraftKings, 5k FanDuel)
Muzzin has really benefited from the Kings coaching change and style of play. He has ten points in fourteen games and last year he had 28 points in 82 games. Muzzin has been great on the powerplay this year, he has three points on the PP. He’s had at least two shots on goal in the past four games.
Mark Giordano vs VAN (5.7k DraftKings, 5.7k FanDuel)
The Flame defenceman hasn’t been a major point getter this year but that should change soon. Giordano does get powerplay minutes and is always looking to join the rush. He has two points and six shots on goal in the past three games. A cheap addition to your lineup could free some salary up for the forward positions
Others to consider: Shea Weber, Oscar Klefbom, Nick Leddy, Will Butcher
NHL DFS Goalies
Mike Smith vs VAN (8.1k DraftKings, 8.4k FanDuel)
Smith gets peppered with shots but he seems to play better when he does. Calgary’s #1 netminder has made at least thirty saves in the past five games. Smith’s 2.32 goals against average is ranked ninth in the league and has made the second most saves in the league. The Canucks are 20th in the league in goals per game at 2.69 so this could be a defensive, tight-checking contest.
Jonathan Quick vs CBJ (8K DraftKings, 9k FanDuel)
The California rivalry between the Kings and Ducks is always a tightly contested one. Quick is a must start on Tuesday Night. The Kings are ranked first in goals against, allowing only 2.21 a contest. Quick has a 1.99 GAA and has two shutouts this year. He is 3-1 in his last four starts.
Others to Consider: Jake Allen, Jaroslav Halak, Matt Murray
