NHL DFS Centers
Steven Stamkos vs CBJ (7.8k DraftKings, 8.7k FanDuel)
Stamkos has been putting a smile on the face of Lightning Fans all year. He is leading the league in points at 24 (6G 18 A) and is averaging 1.7 points a game. Stamkos is averaging 5.4 FPPG for DraftKings and 21.6 for FanDuel. The Lightning are leading the league in goals per game at 3.86 and the Stamkos is a major reason why. Expect the sniper to get first team PP minutes on Saturday.
Brayden Schenn vs TML (6k DraftKings, 5.9k FanDuel)
Schenn has a decently cheap salary and the potential to put some major points. He centres the line of Taraskenko and Schwartz so the potential for assists is always there. He’s had at least two shots on goal the past three games. So far this season Schenn has three goals and eight assists in 14 games. He is averaging 3.4 FPPG for DK and 11.2 for FD.
Sean Couturier vs COL (6.5k DraftKings, 6.6k FanDuel)
This Flyers centerman has started the season off on some kind of roll. He has 17 points with nine goals and eight assists. In the past five games, he’s tallied eight points including three goals.Couturier could take advantage of the Avalanche defence as they average just over three goals against a game.
Others to consider: Auston Matthews, Mika Zibanejad, Vincent Trocheck, Jordan Staal
NHL DFS Wingers
Patrik Laine vs MTL (6.8k DraftKings, 7.4k FanDuel)
The Finnish sniper has started off slow but a matchup against a struggling Montreal team could be just the cure. The Canadiens are starting Al Montoya due to a Carey Price injury so the Jets should be poised to take advantage. Montreal is also third in the league in goals allowed at 3.92. In the Jets last game, Laine potted a goal and had six shots on net. The winger has seven points on the season.
Mikael Granlund vs CHI (5.5k DraftKings, 6.5k FanDuel)
Granlund is coming back from a groin injury and is starting to pick up steam. He picked up two assists last time out and has three points in six games so far. He should get some powerplay time so he is a cheap pickup for your lineup. Granlund had 69 points last year so he should be poised to start racking up the points.
Alex Ovechkin at BOS (7.8k DraftKings, 8.8k FanDuel)
Ovechkin was unstoppable to start the season and is a must-start for your lineup. In thirteen games this season he as ten goals and five assists. The Russian Superstar has been held off the scoresheet the past two games so the Bruins might be in trouble. Powerplay minutes is certain with Ovechkin and the Bruins are the fifth most penalized team in the league. That sweet one timer from the slot could be invading the Boston Garden.
Others to Consider: Evander Kane, Phil Kessell, Alex Killorn, Jonathan Huberdeau, Jeff Skinner
NHL DFS Defensemen
Kris Letang @ VAN (6k DraftKings, 6.7k FanDuel)
Letang is an offensive defenceman in every sense of the title. So far this season he has 11 points in 15 games. The Pens defenceman has is on a four-game point streak (0G 4A). Vancouver is ninth-most penalized team so expect to see Letang manning Pittsburgh’s always dangerous powerplay.
Zach Werenski @ TB (5k DraftKings, 5.7k FanDuel)
The Columbus defenseman has started to pick up points and has become an offensive spark for the Bluejackets. Werenski had two assists last game to bring his point total to eight. He is an inexpensive option for your lineup which could be much needed. He should get some powerplay minutes and has three PP tallies this year. Wereknski is averaging just over 22 minutes of ice time this year.
Drew Doughty vs NSH (5.6k DraftKings, 5.6k FanDuel)
Doughty has been unleashed in for the new look Kings and has nine points in 13 games. He can push the tempo could take advantage of some tired legs of Nashville who will be on the second night of a back to back. He quarterbacks the number one powerplay unit for LA and could be ready to rip his patented one timer. Doughty hasn’t scored in the past six games so he is due for one.
Others to consider: P.K. Subban, John Carlson, Duncan Keith, Jacob Trouba
NHL DFS Goalies
Martin Jones vs ANA (8.2k DraftKings, 9.2k FanDuel)
The Anaheim Ducks are depleted by injuries to key players and are on the second night of a back to back. Expect the Sharks and Martin Jones to take full advantage. Jones has been great so far this year with six wins and 2.12 goals against average. In the past five games, he has four wins, a shutout and hasn’t given up more than two goals in that stretch. Expect more of the same from Jones this Saturday.
Jonathan Quick vs NSH (7.9K DraftKings, 9.4k FanDuel)
Another team on the second night of a back to back and Jonathan Quick should shut the Predators down. Quick has been impressive this year winning eight games and has a goals-against average of 1.99. The Kings do have more of an uptempo style now but they still have the ability to lock teams down. They are number one in the league for goals allowed at 2.08. The LA tender also has two shutouts on the year.
Others to Consider: Matt Murray, Jake Allen, Andrei Vasilevskiy
