DFS MLB Lineups for September 27, 2017 at Draftkings.com & Fanduel.com

For this daily fantasy baseball season, each day there’s a good slate of DFS MLB games, we’ll be writing up a group of pitchers and hitters that we’re considering for our cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. As with any DFS sport, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than they are in real life due to matchup, price, park factor, etc. This is important when constructing a roster. And if you’re looking for new ways to play DFS, be sure and give BOOM Fantasy and DRAFT a try!

A quick reminder while playing DFS MLB, don’t forget baseball is a game of variance. You can make a really solid lineup and still fall short of the cash line. Even Corey Kluber can get lit up, and Mike Trout can still go 0 for 4. Baseball is funny like that. Trust the process and know that if you’re playing quality lineups, you’ll be a winner in the long term.

Another thing to remember outside of making sure your player is in the lineup, is to always check the weather. Always. Make this something that is part of your basic routine. Baseball games can get postponed! Your players receive no points from postponed games!

Best DFS MLB Pitchers for September 27, 2017

Luis Severino vs. TB ($12.4k DraftKings, $10.3k FanDuel)
After getting hit by a ball in batting practice last week, Severino was given an extra day of rest but should be good to go ahead of tonight’s plus matchup. The Yankees (-270) are heavily favored at home tonight against a struggling Rays team that is posting the highest K-Rate (25.1%) with the fewest runs scored (666) in the A.L. this season. Current Rays are 17-for-71 (.239) with a whopping 27 K’s in their careers against Severino, who has surrounded the occasional bad start with a string of impressive outings on his way to a 10.62 K/9 ratio and .207 BAA this year.

Garrett Richards @ CWS ($7.9k DraftKings, $8.2k FanDuel)
Surprisingly enough Richards has hardly shown any rust after missing a year and a half of action with a torn ACL. He’s rocking a 1.50 ERA and 0.75 WHIP over 5 starts while unluckily taking an 0-2 record in tonight’s plus matchup against a White Sox team that’s hitting .249 with the lowest wOBA (.308) amongst A.L. teams when facing RHP this year. Richards posted a 3.65 ERA in 2015 and 2.34 ERA in 2016 over 6 starts before suffering his injury, so he’s clearly a talented young arm capable of shutting down a watered-down White Sox lineup.

Marco Estrada @ BOS ($7.2k DraftKings, $8.3k FanDuel)
Estrada has an ability to limit tough offenses, which has keep him afloat as a quality starter in the high-scoring A.L. East. He held the Red Sox to 3 hits over 7 scoreless innings on Sep 5 and has been great ever since with wins over the Orioles, Twins and Yankees to post a 1.67 ERA and .141 BAA this month. His lack of strikeout numbers keep his price tag down, but he’ll be worth a look as Toronto tries to play spoiler against a Red Sox team that may be without Mookie Betts (wrist) and will not have Eduardo Nunez (knee) for this matchup.

Other pitchers to consider: Rich Hill, Tanner Roark, Michael Wacha, Chad Kuhl, Danny Salazar

Best DFS MLB Hitters for September 27, 2017

Aaron Judge vs. TB ($5.7k DraftKings, $5.1k FanDuel)
Apparently his production comes in waves and like everything with Judge, they’re monstrous waves. He’s hitting .307 with an absurd .587 ISO Mark and .511 wOBA thanks to his 13 HRs this month, setting a new rookie record in the process with 50 on the season. Judge has slugged 31 of those bombs with a .311 average and 40.8% HR/FB ratio at cramped Yankee Stadium, where he’ll face a vulnerable RHP in Matt Andriese that he’s homered off twice over five career at-bats. Andriese is struggling with a 5.60 ERA and 1.78 HR/9 ratio on the road this year while giving up 6 ER over 11 IP against the Bronx Bombers.

Josh Donaldson @ BOS ($3.9k DraftKings, $3.7k FanDuel)
There’s really no reason for Donaldson to be priced this low on DK considering how Red Sox RHP Rick Porcello has pitched this year. Last year’s CY Young winner is sporting a rough 5.30 ERA with a .304 BAA at Fenway Park this season and has coughed up 13 ER with 4 HRs over 4 starts this month. Toronto tagged Porcello for 7 ER at Fenway to open September and while Donaldson went 0-for-4 in that contest, he’s been hot ever since with a .440 wOBA and .347 ISO Mark this month. Overall, Donaldson is a solid 10-for-36 with a HR off Porcello and he’s been a killer at Fenway recently, even homering twice off Chris Sale last night.

Ender Inciarte @ NYM ($3.7k DraftKings, $3.7k FanDuel)
Inciarte is chronically under priced on DK as an excellent cash game option and he’ll almost certainly come through with FPs in tonight’s matchup. Mets young RHP Robert Gsellman is posting a 1.62 WHIP with a 5.59 FIP and 16.7% HR/FB ratio when facing the platoon this year. While power numbers are more likely to come from Friendly Freddie Freeman, Inciarte can get on base and potential steal a bag off Gsellman and mediocre defensive catcher Travis d’Arnaud. He’s hitting .312 with 11 SB since the ASB and has 3 steals off Mets pitching this year to add upside for a .307 hitter.

Other hitters to consider: Francisco Lindor, Joey Votto, Ryan Braun, Gary Sanchez, Howie Kendrick, Chris Taylor, Manuel Margot, Melky Cabrera, Jacoby Jones

9/27/17 DFS MLB STACKS

Royals vs Jordan Zimmerman
Every time he takes the mound Zimmerman is ripe to target with his 6.20 ERA that would be the worst amongst all SPs if he had enough innings to qualify. Lefties are hitting .321 with a 42.2% Hard Contact Rate off Zim this year and Melky Cabrera is a solid value OF option with the platoon advantage in this matchup. Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas also have GPP appeal, while fan-favorite Whit Merrifield is 3-for-8 with 2 doubles in his career against Zimmerman. Lorenzo Cain has also been much hotter lately and he could lead this stack.

Reds vs Brandon Woodruff
This could be a contrarian stack worth considering in tournament formats and you could really go all-in by taking boom-bust RHP Homer Bailey in a true Reds stack. Their lineup could be quite productive against a rookie RHP that’s allowing lefties to hit .329 with a 27.4% Line Drive Rate so far in his care career and obviously the best Reds LHB to use would be Joey Votto. Yet there are cheaper options available in Scott Schebler, Jesse Winker and Scooter Gennett, who could all start depending on how lefty-heavy Cincy wants to go tonight. Billy Hamilton always has upside in tournaments in a plus spot to steal a bag and switch-hitting catcher Tucker Barnhart could provide more value.

Other Stacks to consider:
Indians vs. Adalberto Mejia
Yankees vs. Matt Andriese
Angels vs. Reynaldo Lopez
