DFS MLB Lineups for August 11, 2017 at Draftkings.com & Fanduel.com

For this daily fantasy baseball season, each day there’s a good slate of DFS MLB games, we’ll be writing up a group of pitchers and hitters that we’re considering for our cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. We’ll also provide a list of stacks to consider, MLB start times, starting pitchers, and game run totals to give you a good idea of where the fantasy goodness might come from on a given night. As with any DFS sport, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than they are in real life due to matchup, price, park factor, etc. This is important when constructing a roster. And if you’re looking for new ways to play DFS, be sure and give BOOM Fantasy and DRAFT a try!

A quick reminder while playing DFS MLB, don’t forget baseball is a game of variance. You can make a really solid lineup and still fall short of the cash line. Even Clayton Kershaw can get lit up, and Mike Trout can still go 0 for 4. Baseball is funny like that. Trust the process and know that if you’re playing quality lineups, you’ll be a winner in the long term.

Another thing to remember outside of making sure your player is in the lineup, is to always check the weather. Always. Make this something that is part of your basic routine. Baseball games can get postponed! Your players receive no points from postponed games!

Best DFS MLB Pitchers for August 11, 2017

Jose Urena vs COL ($6.6k DraftKings, $6.4k FanDuel)
Urena has been solid at home this season, posting a 3.49 ERA at Marlins Park. Over his last two outings, he has only let up two earned runs, so this could be the start of a hot streak. It helps that he is facing the Rockies. Their .298 wOBA on the road this season is the third-worst in baseball.

Eduardo Rodriguez @ NYY ($6.2k DraftKings, $7.7k FanDuel)
We’re going against the grain, but hear me out. Against southpaws, the Yankees own a .305 wOBA which is below average. That puts Eduardo Rodriguez in a good position to come out and if he can pitch well, like he did in his last time out over six innings of two run ball against the White Sox, he could be a great leverage play. Plus, the Yankees 23.1 percent strikeout rate against lefties works in our favor.

Carlos Carrasco @ TBR ($9.7k DraftKings, $8.7k FanDuel)
The Rays just haven’t hit well in the second half. Their .285 wOBA since the All-Star break is the worst in the American League, as is their 25.6 percent strikeout rate. Carrasco owns a solid 3.44 ERA in 12 road starts this season and has struck out 77 batters in 70.2 innings in those games.

Other pitchers to consider: Rich Hill, Jimmy Nelson, Seth Lugo, Charlie Morton

Best DFS MLB Hitters for August 11, 2017

Mikie Mahtook vs MIN ($3.3k DraftKings, $2.8k FanDuel)
Mahtook is hitting the ball exceptionally well lately. He owns a .393 wOBA in the second half, so he’s been performing like one of the top hitters in baseball at the moment. Essentially, he is in a good position to have a productive day against Kyle Gibson, who owns a 6.03 ERA in 19 big league starts this season.

CJ Cron vs SEA ($3.4k DraftKings, $3.3k FanDuel)
Cron is swinging a hot stick lately. He owns a .385 batting average over his last seven games. On the year, he owns a .283 ISO against left-handed pitching, an indication he could take one deep. Maybe he can take Marco Gonzales deep tonight. The former Cardinal showed promise his rookie year (2014), but injuries have derailed his career and he has let up 10 runs over two starts this season.

Other hitters to consider: Daniel Murphy, Wilmer Difo, Eduardo Nunez, Jed Lowrie, Tim Beckham, Whit Merrifield, Enrique Hernandez

8/11/17 DFS MLB STACKS

Nationals vs Chris Stratton
Stratton has a 5.11 ERA in Triple-A this season. That should say it all. The Nationals own a .342 wOBA against righties in the second half this season which is the second best mark in the big leagues. Stratton is going to need to be extremely careful here, otherwise this could be ugly.

Twins @ Anibal Sanchez
When a pitcher owns a 5.98 FIP on the year, then he probably is not that good. That should make Sanchez a target today. He is facing the Twins, who are about an average team against right-handed pitching (.321 wOBA). That said, Sanchez has gone fewer than 4 innings in two of his last three starts. The blow up potential here has be on Twins.

Brewers vs Homer Bailey
Bailey owns an 8.86 ERA over nine outings this season and his WHIP is over 2.00. He is going up against a Brewers team whose .184 ISO against right-handers this season ranks in the top-10 of the big leagues. That big-time power should be able to punish a pitcher who has not been relevant in years.

Other Stacks to consider:
Red Sox vs Jaime Garcia
Dodgers vs Clayton Richard
