DFS MLB Lineups for August 6, 2017 at Draftkings.com & Fanduel.com

For this daily fantasy baseball season, each day there’s a good slate of DFS MLB games, we’ll be writing up a group of pitchers and hitters that we’re considering for our cash and GPP lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. We’ll also provide a list of stacks to consider, MLB start times, starting pitchers, and game run totals to give you a good idea of where the fantasy goodness might come from on a given night. As with any DFS sport, the advice below is relevant for fantasy purposes. A player or team might be better or worse from a fantasy perspective than they are in real life due to matchup, price, park factor, etc. This is important when constructing a roster. And if you’re looking for new ways to play DFS, be sure and give BOOM Fantasy and DRAFT a try!

A quick reminder while playing DFS MLB, don’t forget baseball is a game of variance. You can make a really solid lineup and still fall short of the cash line. Even Clayton Kershaw can get lit up, and Mike Trout can still go 0 for 4. Baseball is funny like that. Trust the process and know that if you’re playing quality lineups, you’ll be a winner in the long term.

Another thing to remember outside of making sure your player is in the lineup, is to always check the weather. Always. Make this something that is part of your basic routine. Baseball games can get postponed! Your players receive no points from postponed games!

Best DFS MLB Pitchers for August 6, 2017

Jose Berrios vs TEX ($7.3k DraftKings, $9.0k FanDuel)
Berrios has been one of the better starters in the league at home this season. When pitching at Target Field, he owns a 2.61 ERA in 2017 and the opposition has a mere .527 OPS against him. He faces one of the weakest hitting teams in baseball, the road Texas Rangers. Their .295 wOBA in away games this season is the second worst in the big leagues.

Adam Wainwright vs CIN ($7.6k DraftKings, $7.8k FanDuel)
Wainwright got off to kind of a rough start to this season but lately, he has been throwing much better. He owns a 3.29 ERA over his last six starts and has the advantage of facing one of the colder offenses in baseball. The Reds, who he’s facing, own a mere .305 wOBA over the past two weeks which makes them the fourth-worst hitting team in the National League.

Other pitchers to consider: Chris Archer, Jimmy Nelson, Jamison Taillon, Mike Fiers

Best DFS MLB Hitters for August 6, 2017

Brian Goodwin vs CHC ($3.8k DraftKings, $2.9k FanDuel)
For a left-handed bat, Brian Goodwin has been oddly excellent against left-handed pitching this season. He owns a .469 wOBA against them this season, so he could be in a good position to excel today. Sure, Jon Lester might be making that ace money, but the southpaw has let up 24 runs and owns a 4.83 ERA over his past six starts.

Jose Abreu @ BOS ($4.8k DraftKings, $3.6k FanDuel)
He’s actually been a better hitter on the road this season, posting a .384 wOBA and staggering .278 ISO away from Guaranteed Rate Field. He could feast on pitching from Doug Fister, who owns a 5.45 FIP in eight big league outings this season.

David Freese vs SDP ($4.0k DraftKings, $3.2k FanDuel)
The former Cardinals World Series hero has strung together a quality season, especially against left-handed pitching. He owns a solid .394 wOBA against them this season. That should be beneficial when he faces a struggling Clayton Richard, who has let up 24 runs in 23.1 innings since the All-Star break.

Other hitters to consider: Mallex Smith, Rafael Devers, Marcell Ozuna, Manuel Margot, Jon Jay, Eric Hosmer, Howie Kendrick

8/6/17 DFS MLB STACKS

Red Sox vs Mike Pelfrey
Pelfrey represents another highly incompetent White Sox starter and one of just many reasons that they are in last place this season. In his last eight outings (including seven starts), Pelfrey owns a 7.49 ERA and has let up 10 longballs. He is pitching at Fenway against a red hot Red Sox lineup. Prior to their Saturday night bout against James Shields, they owned a .384 wOBA in their last seven games.

Cardinals @ Homer Bailey
Yes. Homer Bailey still exists. It’s just that he has only made a total of 16 starts since the start of the 2015 season. He is no longer the rising star he was several years ago. In eight starts this season, he owns a 7.32 ERA. A decent hitting team like the Cardinals, who own a .321 wOBA against right-handed pitching this season, should be able to punish Bailey.

Other Stacks to consider:
Twins vs Nick Martinez
Cubs vs Erick Fedde
